Obviously you are taking Citalopram as you are suffering from depression.Alcohol, although it makes you feel good is actually a depressant so drinking alcohol whilst taking an anti-depressant cancels out the benefits of the medication.
Alcohol can enhance the unwanted side effects of the tablets and the tablets make the alcohol affect you more quickly.
It is ideal that you should not mix the two but this is the real world so alcohol intake whilst taking medication of this nature should be kept to a minimum.

I don't believe so, but talk to your pharmacist. Pharmacist are usually the best, cheapest, quickest and easiest to talk to about medications and their interactions with alcohol and other drugs.

the strict answer would probably be no, but it depends on the individual. I used to and i was fine but that doesn't necessarily mean you would be. If you do just be careful and don't drink too much.
