Jesus is the son of God. Jesus is not God. We have to keep it in mind that the bible was written and rewritten many a time. We must also remember that the bible was written by men who claim that they were under the influence of God when they were doing it.
Now, no one knows what the first bible really entail.
So, we must praise God the father, not his son.

This is a great question. It's one of those questions that requires you to really think.
Now, first of all, since you're using the Bible as the basis of the question, I will use the Bible as the basis of the answer. I hope that is fair.
Let's start with what Jesus is saying. Jesus is asking a question: "Why callest thou me good?" There are two reasons why someone might ask that kind of question: to bring attention to the fact that they are good, or to deny that they are good. As a teacher, I've done the same thing. "Why do you say it's a block?" "Because blocks always look like that." "Ah, you are correct, it's a block."
So now the question you have to ask yourself is: is Jesus Good? 1 Peter 2:22 says, "He committed no sin, and no deceit was found in his mouth." That sounds like he was good to me.
Since he was good, then this wasn't a denial of being good. Therefore, it was bringing attention to the fact that he is good.
In that case, what do we make of the second part? "There is none good but one, that is, God."
If Jesus is good, and only God is good... could it be that Jesus was bringing attention to the fact that he is God?
Oh, and what about that little word, "one?" He's claiming to be the same God as God the Father.

Those Scriptures are only a few of the many written in the Bible to help us understand that Jesus is not and never claimed to be God. Think about this also---Jesus was put to death as a human and was dead for the better part of three days. If Jesus is God and was dead for that long--then who was ruling in heaven all that time? If the holy spirit is also God, then it was dead too. So there would have been no God alive to pray to those three days, no God to do anything for anyone. Satan could have taken over the entire universe since "God" was dead. Satan is powerful and could have caused complete chaos for the earth, worse than we see now, if there was no God more powerful to prevent him from doing so.
Christendom has misled so many people by teaching them such a false pagan doctrine. If only people could come to know the true God (Psalms 83:18) and who he really is. Jesus tried to tell people about his Father and that they should worship his Father alone. Jesus was always praying. Did he pray to himself?
Satan tried to tempt Jesus. Could Satan, a created spirit being ever succeed in tempting the Creator of the universe? Why did he try to tempt Jesus, then? Because Satan knew Jesus was God's Son and as a human, he could have succumbed to temptation. We are so thankful that Jesus maintained his integrity and loyalty.
The reason people believe in such doctrines is found at
2 Timothy 4:3-4--"For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine, but according to their own desires, because they have itching ears, they will heap up for themselves teachers; and they will turn their ears away from the truth, and be turned aside to fables."
I hope this answer helps.

Thank you!!! The explantation is that Jesus is a completely separate entity. But people have been taught for centuries that the trinity is the truth. It's really hard to concede that they've been lied to all this time. Look up Trinity in the Encyclopedia Britannica it state "Neither the word Trinity nor the explicit doctrine appears in the New Testament, nor did Jesus and his followers intend to contradict the Shema in the Old Testament: “Hear, O Israel: The Lord our God is one Lord” (Deuteronomy 6:4)." It was a doctrine adopted by Constantine and the Council of Nicaea and later the Council of Constantinople, not a bible teaching.

The way I understand it, it was a form of interrogation. It's just like when Jesus asked "Who do YOU say that I am?" and Simon Peter answered "You are the Christ, the living Son of God". Jesus responded "You are blessed, because flesh and blood didn't reveal this to you, but God himself." Jesus wanted people to figure it out themselves. He wanted his actions to precede his claim, which is why he never claimed to be the awaited Messiah. Those who saw the signs and realized who Jesus actually was were the first Christians, because they recognized Jesus as the prophesized Messiah.
I hope this is actually a legitimate question, and not some sort of evangelistic statement in disguise. I hope my answer helps shed some light on why we believe what we believe. I understand why so many have difficulty with the concept of the Trinity, but the Trinity is neccessary to demonstrate God's divine presence within Jesus's human form.
Peace...

Jesus was saying that God alone is good, so the man should not call Him a good teacher, but God. Jesus also said "I and the Father are One," so if God alone is good, Jesus is telling this guy to realise that He is God.

may peace be up on you. jesus did not claim that he is God. there are many verses to prove that. he always told that he was sent by father and he cannot do anything of his own and he is doing everything according to the wish of whom he is sent.he adresses himself as prophet of god. but in my opinoin we should think it over and find out the truth.muslims believe in jesus. it is mandatory. they have to believe in all prophets sent by God. oterwise he would not become a muslim.please try to read other sacred books like Quran also. you will get more information. i am sure God Aimighty will help u to seek the truth

You keep forgetting that the Bible was translated from a language that has nowhere near the number of words that modern languages have. The term good could mean honest or true or, in this case, most likely mean free of sin or innocent. As soon as Jesus was born he was human and guilty of original sin. That's why he was Baptized. Only god is free of sin. Only God is good.

In each context, Jesus uses His intelligence to indirectly point out to the rich young man that he addressed Him incorrectly. To understand this, you must read the verse just prior to the ones you've quoted. For example, Matthew 19:16 reads:
"16 Now behold, one came and said to Him, “Good Teacher, what good thing shall I do that I may have eternal life?”"
The young rich man called Jesus Christ a good human being, but ignored the fact that only God is good; since Jesus is God, He corrected the man quite pointedly, although he might not have realized it.
Peace.
