Every pregnant woman is different. What you need to do is be there to get her what ever she wants as long as it's in your will. When I was pregnant I loved watermelon, chocolate milk, and cheesy fries. Just make sure she backs off the caffeine, it's makes the baby energetic at night and she will hate that when she's trying to sleep.Last but not least, there will be MANY days when she will get on your nerves but don't get upset with her after the baby you will have your woman back. She will never forget how good you treated her while she was pregnant.Good Luck Daddy!

Two books for you: What To Eat When You're Expecting and What To Expect When You're Expecting. They're both written so they're easy to read and understand... and they tell you more than the internet could on the subjects. They're both available in the public library... or at any bookstore like Barnes and Noble or Borders. Also Amazon.com

In general, treat a pregnant woman with great understanding and tenderness. She's going through a lot of physical and emotional changes right now and stress is not good for her or the baby. Breastfeeding is best for babies if that's possible... so encourage her to consider that for when the baby is born. Mothers who are mentally prepared for it tend to do better at it :)

Just the fact that you're asking says you care about this woman and child... so you're off to the best start possible.

You treat her like the Goddess that she is. About food, meals are best. The Momma-to-be will usually get a sense of what to eat through her cravings. Cut down on junk food & fast-food. I'm not saying to go fanatical on the "health-nut" isle! Just be wise and make better food decisions than you normally might and the healthy baby will come along fine. Another bit of trivial info for that post-partum era: BREAST-FEEDING helps the new Mom lose much more of the baby-weight at a faster rate - and it's easier than step-aerobics!

treat a pregnant woman with lots of love and care because she's undergoing something so special--

as for food, let her eat organic food as much as possible. lots of veggies and fruits. if she's eating meat, she might do well to avoid the fatty ones, but DO eat meat and fish-- it's hard enough to be pregnant; it's terrible to gain too much weight as it can give her horrible back pains.

drink lots of water. light exercises like walking. nothing stressful. no alcohol. no smoking. a lot of disabilities can be avoided if pregnant women can be taken care of the right way.

God bless!
