I don't *feel* constipated, but think I surely must be, as I haven't had a 'good' BM all week. I have awful smelling gas, and my stomach is gurgling and churning. I feel very full, and cannot bear to drink anymore water. I also have some discomfort in my (mostly lower) left side. Should I try a laxative or Milk of Magnesia, or maybe an enima? Help!

Yeah, I would. I had a bad attack last night (gurgling and gas) and simply went to bed to recover, but had night and sleeping not been an option, I would probably have aimed for the little green gas pills.

It's important to have a good BM every day to prevent toxins from remaining in the body. At this point, I would try an enima. I have IBS and I take Librax for the pain in my side. My stomach muscles contract when I have an episode and it feels like labor pains. Really painful but Librax takes the pain away. I take 4 when I feel an episode coming on. Good Luck!! Hope everything " comes out" alright.....)(

I feel your pain. I have IBS also. Why don't you try a gental laxative, and to prevent this from happening again eat plenty of solible fiber like oat meal.Try this web site
