I'm just now recovering from getting a tooth pulled after 3 years of night time pain & sleepless nights. These are the steps I took to get me through those sleepless nights

1.)Brush really well & then rinse with listorine mouthwash ~ this kills some of the germs inside the mouth & helps with some of the pain
2.)Take 800mg of motrin ~ this will kill most of the trobbing pain you're feeling
3.) put a ice pack on it ~ this will numb most of your jaw area & help with swelling
4.) See your dentist ASAP,

Go to the dentist! They will work out a payment plan for you if money is an issue. If untreated, a toothache can become a serious dental / health problem. Good Luck!

800 mg. of Ibuprofen (Motrin) every 6 hours, will do the trick. But if you have decay or some other dental issue, the pain will return. Get it checked out.

you can go to the drug store and buy a bottle of cloves, its specially for tooth aches, you just put it in your tooth or on your gums, and it really really does work, it numbs the area, and its not bad like oragel, i hate that stuff, makes me drool, but anyways, the cloves really work, just go to the drugstore and ask them do you have some cloves for a toothache? it should be in a very small bottle.
