After the Flood, God did give Moses and mankind dominion over all animals.

And is the 6th Commandment, "Thou Shalt not kill" or "Thou Shalt not murder"?

Vegetarians can survive yes, infact it is much more healthy to be one. The commandment however is not to kill people. But still, in this age it has become to unhealthy to eat animals. Besides God condemned eating blood, animal fat, pork, shellfish etc.

I mean, you can't drink milk without drinking blood or puss these days, its only a small amount, but it is still in there it is unavoidable. Unless you milk it by hand yourself and not have rows and rows of cows hooked up to machines which keep sucking even after the milk is exhausted.

Thats also i guess why we shouldn't eat chocolate, we are commanded not to eat any unclean thing. Little do people know that rat droppings, hair and insect fragments make up the ingredients of chocolate. Especially big brands like hershey's and cadburry.

Answering your question tho, killing animals uneccessarily is condemnable, and eating meat nowadays is so hard to not eat the fat or the blood, we just cook it all together God Bless!!

:edit: for people who believe we have canine teeth for meat eating think again, Gorrilla's have some of the largest canines in the world yet they are vegetarians.

The plain simple fact of it is that humans are omnivores - we eat both animal and plant matter. We've been this way for over 7 million years. The idea of "thou shall not kill" is only a couple thousand years old. It's no different then any other animal that eats both plants and animals. It's simply the food chain. Now what is different with humans is the way we harvest animals for food. Gone are the days of the hunter/gatherer. Today we have slaughterhouses for beef, pork, and chicken. Vegtables are grown all over the world and are available year round instead of just a portion of the year like not even 100 years ago.

First of all, "Thou shalt not kill" is not the same as "Thou shalt not eat meat." If you examine the rest of the "law," you will find there were dietary restrictions on the kind of meat eaten rather than an all out ban on killing animals.

If we extend the "Thou shalt not kill" rule to all living things, then we are left with NOTHING to eat. We amputate broccoli, we kill carrots and lettuce outright, and we eliminate whole generations of strawberries, corn, and peas by simply being vegan or vegetarian.

We MUST kill SOMETHING in order to survive. The choice to kill plants rather than animals is a personal choice.

Not sure why you thought this belonged in religion and spirituality instead of in the food section under vegetarianism- but there you go. Thou shalt not kill refers to people, not animals. If you wish to quote the Bible to support your claims, though, you better dig deeper into the chapter. After the flood, God is specifically quoted as telling Noah that "every creature alive shall be yours to eat, I give them to you as I did the green plants." If you choose not to eat meat fine. Bully for you. If it makes you feel better about yourself, that's great. If you don't like watching folks eat meat, stick to the vegetarian restaurants. Of course a vegetarian can survive on this planet, you do not belong to an endangered species and there are plenty of veggies for you to eat. Eat all the veggies you want. Nobody is stopping you, nobody is trying to make fun of you for your choices. So leave the rest of us burger lovers alone and go chomp on a carrot stick. And before you go throwing the Bible into the mix, better bone up on the contents better.

Before the flood, a vegetarian diet was it. After the flood, animals were allowed to be eaten. Thou shalt not kill was applied to murder of people. This came maybe 1000 or 2000 years after the time of the flood.

That meant your own kind, don't worry about the animals, they live in the world the way it is to be lived in and it is the right way.But as for mankind the animals have better chance of becoming a part of the kingdom to come,in the truth then you do,sending out all that voodoo

Eating meat isn't wrong in the eyes of God otherwise he wouldn't have given me canine teeth which evolved for the purpose of eating meat. When a field of crops is harvested tens of thousands of insects are killed yet it would be wrong for me to eat prawns for example which are at a similar level on the evolutionary scale?

The only problem I have with what you're saying is this: I find it hard to believe that you do not use animal products at least to some extent in your life. You claim that you don't eat meat because that's "killing animals," but look at the link I posted below. You're telling me that you don't use or eat ANY of that? I find that very, very hard to believe.

the ten commandment apply to people - not animals, biblically GOD created animals for man - animal protein is different from vegtable protein -

the people who have or had the longest lifespans were all omnivores - they ate a balanced diet including meat. The lady who just died at 122 was an omnivore

the bible here is not referring to animals, but men killing others out of anger, jealousy, etc.
it was not God's original intention for there to be any killing...of animals or people....but sin came into the world through Adam, God killed the first animal himself to clothe Adam & Eve and gave all living things on the earth to their dominion for food.
I agree it can be healthier to eat a more natural diet than one rich in red meat, etc. but u can't use that scripture to justify it.
