What you should do is...when he starts to play these romantic songs on his guitar, ask him to play something else not romantic, this will show him you have no interest in hearing his romantic songs...so if he is playing with your emotions, he'll get the message to stop.

could be that he likes you but doesn't wanna get into a relationship at this point, may be afraid of getting hurt, or would like to be friends first.
Could be he likes you only as a friend and sings those songs cause he likes them or is just trying to impress you with his skills.
Be his friend, if you like him, maybe somewhere down the road it'll be something more. Maybe not, but sounds like he is not looking for a relationship at this point in time.

See its very simple...he's interested in u but cant just pop it out so soon just cuz he doesnt wants 2 scare u away...infact u might not like it either...he just wants 2 know u 1st & u 2 know him 1st...then only he can go ahead...wants 2 see ur comfort level & be comfortable himself b4 he goes 4 something serious...so just chill & enjoy it gal!!

hes probably either to chicken to ask you out or maybe he really likes them songs but if he sings them to you, you might wanna try to one day just up and kiss him trust me you wont feel stupid even he pulls away cause hell come for you eventually when hes not to afraid
