My friend was telling me that there is bug spray in it but that sounds very very unlikely seeing that most bug spray is toxic and smells bad! I think that its the arosol in it. Who is right me or him or none of us?

It's probably a combination of the alcohol, butane, cold temperature (caused by the evaporation of the alcohol and butane). Many deodorants contain aluminium compounds, which in large quantities is very poisonous.

There is no actual "bug spray/repellant" in spray deodorant. There is just a lot of different chemicals and of course an overwhelming scent. Some spray deodorants have a percentage of alcohol in them, which of course would really hurt for a bug. ;)

There's something in deoderant that clogs your pores to inhibit wetness, and fragrance to cover up, hopefully, whatever gets through. I've never heard of bug spray in deoderant. Does your friend spray DEET on his armpits?? (ha ha)
