Sir, it is not a sin to be offended, we are humans, we have feelings, if anyone is offended for the TRUTH, They are not offended at you, But at God, But the one that offended you in the flesh, should come to you & say I' m sorry I offended you, that is only if he or she offender you with a false teahings, or a lie., But if that person, is offended by the Truth, They will not come back to you to say I am sorry. When Jesus walked this earth we find NO scriptures where he had to come back to anyone to say I am sorry, because he spoke the Truth. Sir, Satan will try to put SELF Condemnation on you. If you know you told the truth, stick with it & tell no one that you are sorry. Truth will always prevail. I hope this helps you a little.

A Christian should not be offended by abuse, bad language or any such thing. We are commanded to love even our enemies and those that persecute us. To be offended is to judge someone. We are to judge no-one except when settling disputes or if a professing Christian is immoral.
It isn't a sin to be offended, it just shows that the Christian needs to grow more in The Spirit.
You certainly should not see a Christian abusing people that disagree with them or who believe differently to them. Our only response is to love, forgive and show mercy.

It's a sin to cause offence, because that is not 'loving one's neighbour as oneself'. One ought to be careful in defining 'offense' though. Some people are merely irritated and offended that people's answers are (as they see it) ignorant or misled - or just muddled. Then the offense is not really caused by the answer itself but by the answerer and, again, being offended is not in the spirit of loving one's neighbour.
Those who are really offended by what someone says are probably weak in their own faith.

If you were truly enlightened you would be very difficult to offend. Look how difficult it is to provoke a Buddhist master for example. The trouble with a lot of religionists is that their heads are full of dogma but the true meaning of their faith is really beyond their understanding. I just shake my head in disbelief sometimes when I see how far off the spiritual path a lot of religionists are-they're in for a fright someday.

Judge not that you be not judged.
That also means do not judge anothers actions, where it concerns your own.
If you are offended, then it means you have not forgiven another.
You also allow another to rule how you will feel, taking away your own right to be happy, and giving someone else power over you.
Only one should have power over you, and that would be God, through the Holy Spirit.
Forgive them Father, they know not what they do.
Did Jesus take offense?

I think it depends on what they are offended by. You are right about the not needing to be offended by someone else's ignorant remarks about your faith. They can say whatever they want, it doesn't change the faith you have or in any way diminish it.Let it go people.
