Bad smell from A/C, I was told there was an A/C filter that should be changed every six months, however, Im not sure were to find it and I can't find a Haynes manual for the car any were. Please help.

pull down the glove box its behind there. Its called a cabin filter runs about 29 dollars, usually 1/2 labor at a dealer. Also your ac will build up mold in the box and drain due to running the system on recirc run it on fresh for awhile and it will clear out, usually the filter wont smell but it will get dirty and not allow air flow over the vents

Go to the dealer buy the filter ask the parts man where the filter is...Most times filter is located between the blower and evaporator Now remove the glove box to get to it. Smelly A/C might not be fixed bu just changing the filter alone. Some times you will also want to rinse down the evap coils with mild disinfectant and water rinse. Also note if when you turn on the blower there is vibration your blowers squirrel cage might have a dead mouse in it. Yes they are looking for water and get inside your car.
