Why do you need that specific vehicle. Other than they are very well made and durable vehciles, is there any other reasons that you must be so specific?
Can you not be satisfied with a USED vehicle? OR are you the type of person that only "new" is what will work for you?
I dont know what type of gas mileage that a VW Beetle gets, but I am sure you could find out. Maybe if the milegae is not very good, you could consider a cheaper maybe used vehicle from a reputable USed Car Dealership that would be more fuel efficient.

If you husband has the money tell him you want to be better off than you neighbours. If you have extra money which you do not know what to do with buy the beetle its a cool car. If you want to buy it on finance or you want your husband to get a loan so that he can buy it, FORGET IT. There is absolutely no reason why you should replace a car which can still be used with one bought on finance or why you should buy any car on finance especially if you stay in a city with a public transport network, a good ambulance service and police you can relay on. You may feel you want it now but in a years time you may be regrating why you bought it. Always think carefully before spending money a Beetle is a very expensive car. Its always good house keeping not to stress your partner by asking for expensive things.

Don't even try to, the best way is to justify to him that he needs a new VW beetle. When its in the garage then convince him that he should let you use it.

First of all, you don't "need" a new car if your current car runs fine and is structurally sound; otherwise, you just "want" a new car, which is completely stupid.
Secondly, you should be so lucky to live in a society where you could get a car in the first place. So, show some gratitude and take comfort in knowing you are better off than the majority of people in the world who can hardly afford anything to eat, let alone afford to buy a car (or a seond, or a third).
Thirdly, by pressuring your husband into doing something you want when it is not absolutely necessary is just evil.
Remember, a marriage is a partnership, not a a dictatorship run by you. Don't nag and henpeck him. Instead, be a good wife and keep your mouth shut . Only speak up and create conflict when it is absolutely necessary. Some examples: if he wants to take you "slumming", he wants to set fire to the house to see what it looks like, he wants to quit his job and "find himself", he wants to pimp you out, etc.
Oh, and by the way: suggesting that a woman "give it up" as a way to entice a man to buy her something puts the woman on the same level as a prostitute. Disgusting.

If you are a woman and your husband is a man, then by the time you read this you already have your beetle in the garage!

Well if you work you can just buy it with your own money, in which case it's none of his business as long as you can still keep up your share of the bills!
If you don't work and are staying home taking care of his kids, tell him it's not fair you don't get to treat yourself anymore because you're glued to the kids and can't work!!
If you have a joint bank account, well that was a bad idea!!

I am sure you dont have to justify yourself for anything....If he fancies you - as much as I fancy my Mrs...You would get it ( if financially possible ofcourse ) No Questions asked.. Or else you can tell him No Nookie till the Brief is in the driveway with a Pink Ribbon..

You shouldn't have to justify anything. He's your husband, you're his wife. You should get a new one just because you are who you are.
