In 32 bit mode my icons are normal, but when in 16bit mode windows replaces them with lowerquality icons, how can I stop wndows changing the icons and make windows keep the hig quality ones at any grahic mode?

yes thts possible
go to display properties by right click on desktop screen
1. open *appearance*
2. now open *adavanced
3. there is movable box out thr set it to desktop >to>*Icon
give tht desired values and attributes and everything would be ........like wht u have wished!!

im goin back to 32bit mode

You can't
The hi-res graphics are too hi-res for 16-bit
