You make a good point. It seems that if a woman even smiles at a man he is sure she wants to "jump his bones". Those assumptions, I believe is due to lack of their maturity and finesse.
Continue to be nice...it is a promising virtue. I believe more good things will happen as a results...along with admiration and respect.

I think that some people interpret you being nice as flirting, depends on the person that is being nice. If I was talking to a girl that I thought in my own mind was hot, cute or even just my type... myself would interpret that she was flirting or I would like to think that she is flirting because I am interested in that person. Now if someone was being nice and I personally was interested in that person, then I wouldn't interpret her being nice into her flirting. Now if someone is complaining about you flirting, they may just be jealous because how the people you're being nice to sticks around you a lot and is being really nice to you which can make people think that they are flirting with you. Over all, don't think about what everyone else seems to think. If someone accuses you of flirting when you are only being nice, then they are just jealous or are interested in you and may make you feel that you are just teasing them, but they are only teasing themselves. Good luck in find a good answer.

I' ve the same problem..... I think we must walk with a board saying... " Hey, if ever I' m being nice with you, please don' t interprete it as FLIRT", .... LoL..... You know what if you are bieng nice to someone @ the moment he wants love and affection or a partner, then that person will definitely think that' s flirting, otherwise no.

its the way the kindes is broadcasted, if you are touchy feely and always calling people and using endearing words then ya some if not most will thinkl you are flirting. or they will think you are like that with everyone and not take you serious when you do like them.
either way it gets you coming and going
the same with guys
no one is saying do not be yourself, but one must be able to see the effect acting or saying certain words that are spoken effect a person or the response that is given.
how about this when you talk to people take a step back when you are speaking to them and remember what you say to them as well as the situations.
and pay attention to what their response is as well as their body language
once seeing that you should be able to diffuse the thoughts going inside his mind.
how is that?

People tend to interpret things along the lines of thier own desires. Most men (including myself) don't have to know anything about a woman to decide whether or not they are attractive and when we see such a woman we immediately begin to look for indicators that the woman reciprocates it.

Some folks are so use to people only wanting to use them by being nice or just manipultaing them. Then their are other folks out there that just have such low self esteem that someone being nice to them makes them think they are liked. finally you jsut ahve folks who are paranoid or egotistical and think nice is flirting . It all depends on the person
