and bypasses her best friend (thats me !) and then feels she has to lie about it? I love her a lot so if that makes her happy OK (not perfect ! Just OK) WHY THE LIES ?

may be there was sth in the air between you two other than just a good friendship.may from her side may be from both sides, and know she doesn't want to let you down (if she has an affair with a married/ugly/bastard guy that is) .i could use more hints :)
