Hay this is really easy for me to answer, cause the same thing happened to me 4 months ago and I removed the bump thinking the stinger was still in it. The bump just came back and it is still there on my forearm , so I definitely knoe no use to disturb it cause the bump wont go away. I am just ignoring it and waiting for time the great healer.!!

If its left something behind it was a bee not a wasp,.Take it out bbut be careful not to squeeze the sac attached as this might put more venom in, use tweezers near the skin.

Don't remove it as it is a localised reaction that is your body's mechanism for healing itself after a foreign body has entered it. Dab some vinegar on it and if it doesn't go away try some Anthisan cream/spray, just watch that the poison doesn't travel beyond a localised swelling though.

It will not have left its sting behind (unlike Bees), but it will have left a little legacy in the form of its poison. you get a bump because you instantly begin fighting the infection. douse it with vinegar, stinks to heavens, but will neutralise the poison, and help reduce the inflamation.
