Let go and let God. Trust in Him that no matter what if you follow His will He will guide you thru the valleys of life. You can be positive that He is walking beside you and you have nothing to fear. Where there is no fear, there is God

Just think about what is on the bright side of life, Happiness, success, love. If you keep a good attitude with life you will have a good one, Just keep on keeping on and what you give to your life you will get back . Always looking at the bright side is difficult as you already know but don't let that keep you from your dreams and ambitions. Looking at the dark side for too long Will keep you in the dark and you will go no where but to nothing.

Always try to think how a situation can be positive. For example, a bill is due and your car just broke down...hey, at least you have a job to pay for it even if you have to borrow...okay maybe you don't have a job... hey, at least you have fingers to type. Imagine all the people that have lost a finger and can type right away.
Each day try to notice the little things in life you may take for granted, it will make it easier to get through the hard times. Also, when something is bad happening, think of how it could be worse, that should make you see the bright side of life.
If all else fails, turn on the comedy channel...don't have a tv...go outside and get really close to the ground (not in the road silly)and notice all the things you step on all the time without noticing it.
I hope I helped!!

You first have to realize that it's a conscious effort. It's easy to be upbeat when things are going well, but no one's life is without the down side, and that's when the going gets tough.
Few things are so bad that there's not a positive spin that can be put on it, be it done with humor or just thinking how fortunate you are in spite of the bad circumstances.
For instance, in my own life I came smack up against a situation that left me hospitalized for a week and nearly killed me. Yes, it was pretty miserable, but the outpouring of love and support given me by my friends and family made me think that I was far better off than someone who never had a care in the world. I recall thinking, "Okay, Lord, I really appreciate finding out just how many people really do care about me--but I wish You'd have found a less drastic way to bring it to my attention!" Yes, there was humor to be found even there.
Yes, I was injured and I will carry the scars to my grave, but it showed me how to survive and made me a little less hurried and self-absorbed.
So--I said all that to say this--try to find the good in every situation, make a habit of it, and over time you'll see you're not just being Pollyanna-ish.

For starters there is no "always" bright side of things period. There will always be down-turns, losses and disappoiments. The only bright side of things is you, you add a light to the world, the world around you, the people you affect, the people, the lives you touch. I saw this at my mothers funeral. There were 300 cars there. I wept because of all the lives she touched, the lives that were a little less because she was no longer a part of. No, you cannot live your life to always please or help others you have to matter to you and that is the foundation to your self worth. If you are "better" then everyone around you is better because they know you. Plus only rain brings harvest, the sun cannot shine all the time on anyone. Sorrow or loss or pain must be a part of the process. In a strange way downturns make you better, be glad for trials they make you stonger and better.

You don't. You don't even try. You can only do the best you can, in what you do, what you think and in how you cope.
One cant watch a child die in a hospital and try to find the bright side of things. One can only greive and move on. It is in most people's human nature to rebound from such an experience and eventually see humor and joy in what life has to offer.
Those of us who cannot make this recovery are doomed to a life of depression. That is why friends and families help each other during grief and other tragedy. We feed off of each other's strengths, so that we can smooth over each other's weaknesses.
If you have a CHOICE about how to look at something, then do yourself a favor, pick the one more fun!

Same question I had the prevous 5 years when I turned to the dark side of life and fell into deep depression. I swar I can't even remeber half the crazy stuff i did...
Anyways, now I learned that you can either have one side or another.Dark or Light. Wispers or Screams. Crying or laughing. But sometimes you just need a friend or a family member to talk to, theyre the bright side of life! You see, family has the same blood running through their veins, thats why theyre bonded to you forever. Freinds are somewhat close but not enough.

Always looking on the bright side is not only silly it's counterproductive. If you always believe everything will turn out for the best, you'll seldom have reason to take action to make sure it does and will be terribly disappointed when it doesn't.
It's much better to look at the world realistically. Sometimes life just sucks and sometimes getting mad is very productive. An occasional screaming fit or a good cry can be very theraputic and cathardic.
I don't worry about the people who are always pissed off, the people who are always smiling are the ones who bother me.

By always thanking God for the privelege of being alive and appreciating the value of life and all the finer things in it like walks in the park, spending time with friends and family, relaxing, enjoying nature and all it has to offer etc. Cause when you think about it, there's always someone who for reasons you don't know are much worse off than you, some ppl have lost the ability to speak, hear, walk, or even see, others have also died tragic deaths and have lost the opportunity to enjoy life and all it has to offer. So never be too hard on yourself and whenever u feel depressed or frustrated about anything, just remember that god in his love and infinite wisdom saw fit to create you as a human being (not a rat or a fly) and there is no one else like u in this world cause u r unique and as such u should always be grateful for life even though pressures may ensue cause at the end of the day, life is the most precious gift that any of us could have cause without it, we are nothing because we would cease to exist.

ALWAYS?, Well I have no real answer for ALWAYS, but I can say more often than no, be realistic about situations, because even if the situation seems bad- there are some things in life you can change and many you have no control over- so in other words- don't cry over spilled milk- just clean it up and be happy that you got a clean floor instead of one with milk on it where you can slip and fall.
be positive, stay around positive people and avoid all others that do not keep your spirits on the right track and always know there is a higher power to help you guide you through difficult times and with a clear mind, you will always see the way( for me it's God, common sense, wisdom and all the lessons I have learned from through my life experience)
And remember that everything happens in life for a reason- you may not know what the overall reason is for at the time- but looking on the bright side of things- you will just go with the flow of life and enjoy the moments you are in instead of looking at things in a negative light- just remember that people and experiences come in and out of our lives and some people and things are to teach us lesson for us to use in the future- enjoy life- we only got one chance at this.
