Religion is man made....Spirituality is from God. No matter what label people put upon their "religion", it's still man made. God wants us all to come to Him. So the name of the religion, boxes that people put themselves into, mean nothing to God. These "groups" where some people believe is the only way to get to God, just seperate people and can cause religious wars...Why can't we all just worship our Creator in our own way, and live and let live?
So,....if everyones "religion" is the right one, which one will God choose when He sends our Savior to us?
I believe that true and pure religion, otherwise known as Spirituality, comes from a close relationship with our Creator, and following the way of life that Christ came to show us.
An example of real, true, and pure religion would be deeds such as helping people during traumatic events, ( Hurricane Katrina, the Tsunami, agencies that help children, etc...the list is endless) Caring and doing something to help others, is what true religion is really about....not the small mindedness, and self righteousness that some religions teach. We should wake up and question what life is really all about!

I don't think that's true at all. I think there is a natural human tendency to define and assume, and this leads people down false religious paths.
The truth is that we should be more worried about how we are living our lives today, and less worried about the details of religion. All the positive religions basically say the same thing anyway. While evangelists are on TV arguing the details of scripture and God, people are still starving, people are still depressed, war still wages, and people still hurt. If they were putting their religions into practical application, they would be out there doing something about suffering and bringing people to their religion by example. We need action, no one needs more talk.
In my country, I have noticed a serious decline in morality the further away from mainstream Christianity we have drifted. While I am not a mainstream Christian, I find it hard to deny that the United States is a much filthier, fouler place to live than it was 30 years ago when I was a small child.
While the world doesn't need any more hypocrites or talk, I think it does need more faith and morals, and most people need a belief structure to cultivate those. Whether it's Buddhism, Christianity, Wicca, or other, I think this place needs more people who believe in goodness, want to be good and take action on those principles regardless of how they choose to picture God.

But there's so many morons out there that need religion in order to live their pathetic lives. If we don't have religion then everyone below a certain level of intelligence will have to either be euthanized or sterilized. I'm ok with either of these options, but society tends to frown on this option despite it's undoubtedly beneficial nature.

Man as a eternal being will always search for meaning to life and death. Religion is a way of answering that question. (wrong or Right answer)

I'm sure there would still be plenty of hate in the world, what with racism and sexism and all. People would just find another reason to fight and criticize.
There would probably be less war overall though, and we'd be able to learn evolution in schools like we're supposed to.

Lets put it this way.
In a world without religion good people will do good things and bad people will do bad things.
Only with religion do good people do bad things.
