Venue Information

Jazz Cafe

A fine and funky Camden institution, boasting some of the best jazz gigs in London. Come as you are (actually some of you should probably make an effort) and get down at the clubnights from heaven here. Andy Smith's Northern Soul night caused a recent almighty storm. There are also loads of up-to-the-minute live acts. A must visit.

The vortex jazz club is a jazz club for serious jazz lovers. It is actually quite small but the people who go there really love their jazz. They have a great list of gigs and all are very affordable.

it is volunteer run and therefore not too fancy. It is close to Dalston Station up in hackney. I have attached the site for more details.

During the world cup they had 2 bands "battle off" in front of the games on a big screen tv. Listening to jazz while watching football was a real treat.

You can go to Ronnie Scott in Soho, a great place with all leading jazz musicians have and plays there.

Also there is the Dover Club, in Dover Street Picadilly. There is live jazz band every day with a small dancefloor where you can dance as well. Very nice place.

I highly suggest Smollensky's on the Strand. They have a daily happy hour of the most delicious martini's for about £5. The music is fantastic. See the link below for the events schedule.
