i love australia.....i lived in the outbacks of australia for 1 yr. Very different country. I would love to visit it again. When I think of Australia I think of how a country that is so well developed in the cities can be so non-developed in the outback! I am sure that Woomera S.Australia hasn't changed and is as non modern today as it was when I lived there 20 yrs ago!

As an Australian I When I think about Australia I think of wide spaces, freedom, opportunities, friendly ppl, far away from eastern troubles, grate full, happy, safe, multi cultural, learn ed and learning, I only wish I could transform myself into a bird so I could easily access all that is around, which would normally cost sooo much money.

I think "g'day mate", "shrimp on the barbie", "that's not a knife", "where the bloody hell are you?", etc. Why? because that's the image that we constantly project through out the world yet complain that we have this image (ie The Simpons episode).

never been there, but, heard it's THE place to go, if you want to live outside the U.S. Supposedly, it's easy for Americans to adapt to. They speak our language . and a beautiful place too.
