It can last if it is what both parties want.
The key to making it last are letters, phone calls, organising weekends away together where possible...and suprise visits.
Send little gifts that have significant meaning to each other....in all honesty you are limited by your imagination.
Most of all if it is meant to work then you will find a way to make it happen otherwise as they say what will be will be

Okay, where do I begin... 1) If you're going to have this long of a question, use proper format, because this gave me a headache. 2) To me, 1 hour isn't a LDR...my fiance lives in Utah and I live in Ontario. Seperate countries, or living nowhere near you is a LDR. 3) You love her like you say, it'll work out. You can both drive, right? No problem. It all comes down to working schedules at that point. and 4) She started ignoring you because you were ignoring her, and buddy, I suggest you do anything you can to make her happy. Some women can hold a grudge against something like that and ignore you until doomsday.

Relationships can hurt. Let nature take it's course. If they drift apart the closeness may have been lacking in some depth. If they are soulmates things can work with planning , good communication etc. Lonliness can be an issue plus the fact of meeting a whole new set of friends. Best of luck. Love is hard work and giving.

Yes, a long-distance relationship CAN work, especially if they love each other a lot. I know this one woman whose son lives in the States, and the girl he likes is in China; think of how they must feel. But they still talk every day, and visit each other when they can. I myself like someone who is in MI and I live in NC, and I talk to him every week. It can work out if they trust each other and if they keep the relationship going, through communication, for communication is the glue that holds any relationship together. And sometimes they can visit each other, can't they? :)
Hope it works out!!

Yes it could work. If they love each other enough it won't matter how far away they r from each other then it will work out. Now if they don't love each other as much as they come across to then no it won't work out. I wish ya'll the best of luck. Tell your sister to have some faith everything will be ok. Good luck.

if they're meant to be n' have aith in their relationship, they will no matter how far apart they are.......while your sis is away to university, she can still call the guy or email him......when there's a will, there's a way......sure both of them will find ways to keep in touch n' go further in the future...good luck to them both!!!
