Don't be so stupid you lot. Of course the clubs and ball are smaller. It can also be played in the average sized back garden. Did you not see the mini golf Ryder Cup? A narrow victory for the Seven Dwarfs avenged the last trouncing by the Oompa Lumpas. Magnificent contest. It was shown on UK Living TV 2. Where have you been?

As in golf, courses are commonly nine or eighteen holes long (or less commonly twelve) and the object is to hit the golf ball into the appropriate hole in the fewest number of strokes; however, in the miniature game, the holes are significantly shorter and consist of only a putting surface. The game is made challenging by an arrangement of obstacles, ramps, and bunkers. It is a popular pastime in many areas of the world, especially among families.

Mini golf and Crazy golf are not the same thing:

Crazy golf is like an obstacle course where you putt the ball through tubes/over small hills etc. it is usually not played on grass but on carpet or concrete.

Mini golf is played on a series of grass putting greens either straight or with dog-legs and does not involve hitting the ball through/over/under obstacles. Essentially it is just putting.

Miniature golf. It has small kiddy style greens and you go around a course. Putting is the main activity apart from waiting for a thousand kids to have their turn ahead of you or retrieving your ball from the parking lot or under a bush. Lots of fun is had by all.

It's "Crazy Golf". It's usually played over 9 holes and you use a putter only. Obstacles (such as miniature windmills and tunnels) are placed in strategic positions along the route of the hole and you have to put the ball into the cup in as few strokes as possible.

OK. I'm Canadian and up here we call it " mini putt " in some places. But basicly it's like this. You have several small putting courses, layed out in strange patterns, and the least amount of putts wins.
Same size putters, and same size balls.
