The majority of people who suffer from a fear of flying do not like the fact that if it crashed there would be nothing they could do about it. They would not be in control. Even though flying is the safest mode of transport people do not like the idea that they could not do anything if it crashed. If you take a flying lesson in a small aircraft it may help as you would know what to do in the unlikely event that something goes wrong. It will not CURE your fear but it will make you feel more comfortable on a plane.

You mean "high-anxiety" or "fly-anxiety". Poor boy.
I had it some years ago. But it was very easy to fight.
I made a big trip to Singapore (from Zurich) WITH an
airplane. So I had to stay more than 12 hours in the
airplane — and no way out. No chance to escape.
That was hard. But I did it ! Now I am cured. Now I am
crazy about flying. I could do it every day.

See a psychologist. Like in that one episode of The Simpsons when Marge had a fear of flying.

I even have flown better than 2 million miles in my occupation, or maybe I even have occasional bouts of apprehension. purely considering you felt uncomfortable on your final couple of flights, does no longer recommend you will sense that way on the subsequent flight. i think of a selection of of apprehension comes from worry of the unknown. you sense many sensations and hear sounds which would be unfamiliar and frightening. My advice is to observe others interior the plane. look for ordinary travellers, inclusive of obtrusive business enterprise travellers. once you're uncomfortable examine out them. Do they look nervous? Are they worried, or are they calm (perhaps somewhat annoyed) and not scared? this will possibly no longer answer the question, "what's occurring?", even though it may desire to assure you that there is not any reason to be worried. sturdy success

Go to Sporty's.com and look under the DVD/Movie selection. There should be a movie called "The Non-flyers Guide To The Cockpit" or something similar. I personally haven't watched it but I know people that have.
