This was done in the beginning of the last century.
Hundreds of thousands of Christians were killed, women children and aged alike.

it is a shame that people are so prejudiced and offensive for nations and cultures about which they have no idea.Every incident should be evaluated within the time and space framework.It is not make a difference to say that many Turkish people,Muslims were killed, too because we are all human no matter of race,religion,ethnicity.

Its being denied because if the turks wanted armenia to be an islamic republic by force believe me it most likely would have been. This is just another false allegation made to tarnish the turkish population. Even the armenian christians are treated ok in iran. The muslims of armenia and nagorna karovak however are being slaughtered and massacred. Many have never seen thier homeland and live in neighbouring azerbaijan.

In 480 BCE 300 Spartans delayed the barbarian Persian horde of Xerxes I from moving his vast army beyond the pass at Thermopylae into Greece (One of the initial pearls of Western civilization).
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Battle_of_Thermopylae
While Armenians are not Spartans, too few in the West know who these brave souls are! Armenian citizen are the origin of Christianity in the Western world.
Armenia is one of the oldest and most historic civilizations in human history, as well as the first nation to adopt Christianity as its official religion.
The Republic of Armenia, is a landlocked mountainous country in the Southern Caucasus (Transcaucasus), bordered by Turkey to the west, Georgia to the north, Azerbaijan to the east, and Persian (a.k.a Iran) and the Nakhichevan enclave of Azerbaijan to the south.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Armenia
Perhaps world Christians should learn as much as possible about these brave souls especially in the West!
Make no mistake about this. Those that surround Armenia are not friends to the West!!!
If you are Christian, I encourage you to do some research about the parents of Christianity in our world then decide for yourself.
Perhaps one day our Armenian brothers and sisters lead the defense of the civilized world against Muslim barbarism just as Spartan citizens once did in days gone by.
Have fun but be safe!

TO GENOCIDE EVENTS IN KHOJALI
Over the night from February 25 to 26, 1992 Armenian armed forces implemented the capture of the Khojali city with support of hard equipment and the personnel of the infantry guards regiment #366 of former Soviet Union. The massed firing with using artillery weapon, hard military equipment, which was began in the evening of February 25, preceded assault of the city. As a result of this the fire began in the city and by five o'clock in the morning the whole city was in fire. The population (about 2500 people) remained in the city were forced to leave their houses in the hope to find the way to Aghdam - the district center and the nearest place mainly populated by Azerbaijanis. But these plans have failed. Armenian armed forces with the military support of the infantry guards regiment destroyed Khojali city and with particular brutality implemented carnage over the peaceful population. As a result:
613 people were killed, among them;
63 children,
106 women,
70 elders.
8 families were killed completely.
25 children lost both parents. 130 children lost one of the parents.
487 people were wounded, including;
76 children 1275 people were hostages.
150 people were missing
The damage done to both state and private property estimated 5 billion rubles (according to the prices for 01.04.92)
These figures show the results of the most bloody tragedy of Nagorno-Karabakh conflict, which began on February, 1988 with illegal demands of ethnic Armenians of Nagorno-Karabakh Autonomous Oblast of Azerbaijan SSR to join to Armenia SSR that was provoked with direct support of ruling circles of the Armenian SSR, consent and inactivity of central authorities of Soviet Union.

They only believe what they want to believe and what their mullahs tell them at the mosque. They must depict themselves as victims and not the aggressors.
What the Muslim Turks did to the Christian Armenian is happening now in Darfur!

Don't get so confused. The Kurds are our friends in Iraq. You must not think of them as evil Christian murdering scum of the earth, but as Victims of the Evil Hussein and our allies in the war against the evil umpire and the axles of evil or whatever

I'm sure that not all Muslims do deny it. After all, some 'christians' deny the reality of the Holocaust, or the evils of the slave trade, or the christian-christian and christian-muslim atrocities perpetrated during the Crusades.

Most cultural or religious groups that perform genocides are going to either deny it or claim that it was "justified" from their point of view.
No one group of people is unique in that regard and unfortunately that is one of the sad truths of the human race.
