In popular culture today?
Against the Church.

Have the leftists adopted the revisionist history of the Soviets?

If there ever was a Dark Age in Western Civilization it surely was the last century with atrocities perpetrated under aggressive atheist regimes like the Nazis and the Stalinists.

Its called Karma: Sow the seeds of persecution against the beliefs of other and reap the fruit of persecution

Criticise the speck in another's eye, and get criticised for the log within one's own.

Also, because MANY ( not all... some are the most wonderful people in the world i.e Mother Teresa ) Christians do not behave like Jesus Christ at all. Throughout history they have been disrespectful, arrogant and belittle others by being condescending of their cultures. All that done in the name of God, BUT... God/Jesus was NEVER that way.

Jesus embraced people from all walks of life ( prostitutes, lepers etc ) Modern Christians judge people A LOT, based on their culture, religion, gender, lifestyle and sexuality, condemning these people to hell... and what not.

Jesus behaved in the most humble and gentle way, Modern christians act humble but the words that come out from their tongues are laced with arsenic. - like someone who smiles and tells you how you will be ending up in hell.

Why do modern Christians get so much slack from others? Because they are doing everything opposite to what Jesus had taught but following Apostle Pauls wrathful and judgemental form of preaching. Shouldnt Christians be following Christ? Otherwise maybe they should be changed to Paulians?

The Nazis were not atheist regimes, as they had the Catholic and Lutheran churches bless the weapons used in the war.

The greatest attacks on Christianity comes from within, not from without, as Christians refuse to follow all the teaching of the Bible. As for attacks from without, that is a good thing, because when the nations finally turn and destroy Babylon (Organized Religion) than we will know the time has come for Armageddon.

No governmental body can destroy a religion, no matter how much it tries, as long as that religion has the blessing of the Holy Spirit. If there are three people together, you have a meeting of the religion. When all the followers are properly taught, there is no need for a church, or even books, for the work to continue.

A good example is the Jehovah's Witnesses. They refuse to fight for Germany, or even work in the military plants, so they were all put in the camps with the Jews. They survived and continued. In Russia, after communism fell, they had their first ever conference the next year, at which over 100,000 attended. Currently, they are far more under attack by the Orthodox Church than they ever were by Stalinist. The state Church wants them declared a non-religion, and they have succeeded in many areas. The same is happening in France.

The history of the Dark Ages (100ad-1000ad) is interesting.
During that period Catholics often attacked those that later would be known as Orthodox Catholics.

The thing about Nazis and Stalinist being atheist is wrong.
They believed in religion.
Hitler was catholic yet followed far eastern religion.
Hilter did not start his physical campaigns until he reached approval from Pope Pius.

Stalin was god. He killed even close supporters like his generals that got to much veneration from the populous so that his veneration would remain strong.
He enjoyed having the Russian Orthodox Church lick his boots.

Sadam patterned his dictatorship after Stalin's by having statutes and picture posters at every corner in Iraq, so the Iraqis would think of nothing other than their fearless yet heart filled leader. Sickening isn't it.

It is the past of Christianity that brings about the hate against it. Simply you worship a God in which man defiled the name of and used to murder hundred of thousands of people. The witches, the outcasts, the indians, even themselves at a point. Look to the past to understand the present.

Oh, the poor opressed Christians. They're only the ruling class in this country. They only comitted genocide against the Native Americans. They only cut a blood path across Europe in the name of their forgiving God.

people are so against Christianity because they are still thinking with their souls and not wtih their spirits...the soul is made up of our reasoning and feelings and the spirit is that which connects us to God.
if our spirits have not been renewed by the blood of Christ we can't begin to understand Gods law or His ways....Romans 8:5-8.
for if we still think with our human nature we are enemies of Christ and are hostile to Him...
that is why so many slander and speak out against Christians...
pray for them...

The left is not allowed to criticize race , gender or sexual proclivity , but the hypocrites need someone the pick on and so boost their poor self image and make them forget how much they hate themselves. Christians are their *******, their dumb blonds, their queers.

but do remember this,"the christians(roman catholics)crucified and killed more people than any other religion known to man,
people scream unfair!! at the muslim brethern for killing in the name of their religion,,is this not the same as the catholics did not so many years ago,????
religion has a lot to answer for.
peace to all who crave it.

It's because we grin and bear it. We don't start crying and take to the streets to burn effigies and call for people to be murdered if they upset us.
