Okay, so we've got two pretty similar biscuits but did we get the bourbon before it's albino cousin or vice versa?

My guess is the custard cream came first, as the bourbon is such a vast improvement...

custard creams were the first draft before they came up with bourbon once they realised they are a slightly better shape for dipping in your coffee

the custard cream came first. the bourbon (dont spread this around too much) wasnt its cousin, it was Custard creams illegitimate love child....

id say the custard cream came first and the borbon came over with its tens of thousands of family members from a forigne country on a boat when our goverment accepted them to live here happily with all our creams

I guess it got to be the Bourbon as they knew they could improve on it. They did the Custart cream.
