i need to dramatise this poem and answer two questions. so please help me.

ON THE DEATH OF ANNE BRONTE
by charlotte bronte
there 's little joy in life for me,
And little terror in the grave ;
I've lived the parting hour to see
Of one I would have died to save.

Calmly to watch the failing breath,
Wishing each sigh might be the last ;
Longing to see the shade of death
Over those belovèd features cast.

The cloud, the stillness that must part
The darling of my life from me ;
And then to thank God from my heart,
To thank Him well and fervently ;

Although I knew that we had lost
The hope and glory of our life ;
And now, benighted, tempest-tossed,
Must bear alone the weary strife.

Questions:
What is the poem about?
What are some of the themes(ideas) the poem carries?

tell me how to dramatise it too please!!! and help me with the two questions above

Thank You =DDD

The image I had was of Anne on his bed, coughing blood. Charlotte watching from a little distance off while speaking the first lines. Over Anne's bed is a figure of the reaper. Charlotte nods calmly at the reaper and goes to sit by Anne's bedside, holding her hand "Calmly to watch..."

Anne coughs one last time. Charlotte looks at Death, maybe at first angrily, but then stands up, maybe shakes his hand and watches him take Anne away. Charlotte recites the last verse as they are leaving. The lights go dim, then it becomes dark and she is left alone on the stage, in darkness or semi-darkness.

It's a very solemn poem about confronting Death and coming to terms with it. The point is that she feels that after Anne's death the joy in her life is diminished, but so is her fear of death. Anne's illness was such that despite the love Charlotte felt for her, death really seemed a better alternative than seeing her suffer. So it's about sorrow, death and bereavement. Describes the horror of losing a loved one, but still raises the question of whether death really is such a horrible thing.

There may be too much action in the "dramatization" or visualization I provided, but you'll have to work it out for yourself.

It's about a person who is giving up their loved one to death.
Themes it carries; Life being so bad that death is a welcome sight. One is thanking God for taking the other on to death, and not making it worse than it already had been. Good Luck!
