You saw the build-up, you had the anger then TV gave you live images like a video game but this was for real.

Iraq getting a big chunk of bombs on its head and revenge was delivered.

I would like to know if this was 'good' TV. It is almost a sick bloodlust but I must admit to liking what I saw and it was compelling viewing.

CONSCIOUS (see below) is a tree-hugging liar.

This person would like to see us all held in the grip of idiots just to be PC.

Grow some balls and stop point-scoring because you are just a fake.

Frankly, it really bothered me to see CNN and US network reporting in Baghdad before the first US bombing began. There were a lot of on the street reporters, standing next to rows of palm trees on irrigated lawns. They chattered on about how business was as usual, and that people didn't believe an invasion was coming. (Remember Baghdad Bob, Saddam's version of Tony Snow?) Street views showed cops directing traffic, bustling office districts and kids playing ball by their homes. I remember footage of people lining up at markets, stocking up on food to tide them over for a few days. These pessimists believed there would be a limited war with a duration of a few days or weeks at worst.

Then there was the drama of when the US supposedly had a hot tip on Saddam's location, and bunker busters were dropped. Media I listened to thought that if Saddam were killed, the bombing would be called off.

I didn't watch videos of the actual bombing because my mother got sick and I spent time in the hospital with her.

But you're right, this was dramatic TV. You say "It is almost a sick bloodlust", I agree again, but wouldn't qualify it as "almost".

At a certain time our international neutral media that was having acces to Iraq was working with CIA as a faithful dog. Those who were watching the media since 1991 will confirm this and acknowledge.

I never call such US & European media as a neutral media. The one named Aljazira was exactly telecasting the truth and US agents murdered their talented correspondants for being the truth was pictured.

So where is problem now? The media or the CIA?

The US is stocking bombs & other explosives to demolish Iran for good.
I feel that nothing is left in Iraq to destroyed further, exactly to say:
1. The most important religious sites of Mespattomia from the time of Prophet Abraham or Ibrahim was damaged by US forces,
2. US and the associated thieves from neighbouring countries stole all the ancinet remeberance all the three religions that have roots in Iraq
3. Shiaite Muslims Holy places near Basra were damaged in the bombing beyond recognition.

I believe all the damages were handy works of cllusion of both US & media & conniving in.

I do not like viewing people getting killed no matter what nationality or religion they might be. They are human beings with families and what a cruel way to die. /why do human beings do this to each other? Religion, politics, color of skin, land, money, poverty, power? Gas, wha a mess we people are when we cannot get along with one another. We go to the UN and make all sorts of stupid speeches about the devil and sulfur, we''ll wipe you off the face of the map, you are American blowhards, etc. These commentaries coming from leaders of countries? Many of these leaders are sick and should be put away in a booby hatch. This guy from Argentina is really something. He is a dope as well. And the guy from Iran is not any better. A hateful man who would wipe a nation in a stroke of an arm. I'd cut off his arm and his long nose as well.

That was the coolest show on TV. Desert Storm was cooler looking than OIF though. I like the night vision effect with the tracer firing off at something that had been gone for a minute or more. The sat phones and cameras that the reporters had in this one were pretty jumpy and hard for me to watch without getting a headache. It was like watching my kid play a bad first person shooter. Looking forward to the next installment though.

Thinking like that just f*cks up your karma. If you take pleasure at seeing innocent people being bombed then at some point in the future someone will get their kicks out of watching you suffer the same fate.

Well I think no one(except those dirty minds) will enjoy such bloodshed in whole world.
There may be a curiousity of what happening in Iraq which may enhance our interest. But this all should be stopped as soon as possible.
Govt. is not at all working sufficiently to preserve lives of people. It may be because of US and allied army present there.
Also U can think it as a group (in discussion) dominated by a person by name 'US'.

Nobody wins in a war. Watching bombardments is gruesome because it destroys humanity.
