Did you get a ticket or something and now you are pissed off???? Sure there are some "bad" cops out there but don't over look the good ones sweetie you will never know when you may need help. Always, respect those who put their lives on the line so narrow minded people like you can sleep at nights. That includes our Military, Fire fighters, EMS personnel.

I work with police officers and yes, there are some idiots and power hungry people that work in law enforcement, but there are also kind, fair, honest people that I know too. You can't generalize like that. Maybe you're bitter against cops because you've been in trouble?

You're an idiot. Yes, there are a few bad police. There's also bad dentists, carpenters, and computer programmers. The truth is, 99% of police are heroic people RISKING THEIR LIVES FOR YOU. They deserve your respect and adulation.

I think you missed a few left wing sites links, there are thousands you know. If you want real rape stories with much more perverted use of your tax dollars, search out pedophile teachers. I am certain you will find hundreds, thousands more of them than police or priests combined. Guess we should stop funding public education.

Not to mention their focus on petty crimes out of fear of dealing with the real bad guys. I'd like to see the police in Willimantic, CT approach the rampant herion problem in the way that they do the underage drinking problem.
I don't know why so many of your answerers automicatically make the mental leap from questioning corruption to assuming that you're suggesting abandoning the vital system of public security that our police provide. Oh wait, they're dumb.

I totally agree with you. They put their lives on the line every day for us. My son is a Deputy Sheriff and I worry about him always. So many people complain about the 'cops', but they wouldn't hesitate to call them if they were in trouble and needed help.
