You are correct.
It is very sad to see some people making hateful comments, especially to serious questions.
The Prophets (Peace be upon them all) came with their message from God. They taught forgiveness, humility, consideration, etc, etc.
It is some of the followers of the different religions who disobey or go astray. The religion as revealed by the Almighty is perfect.
So people should not judge the religion by its followers, but rather look at the religion for what it is - God's teachings revealed to man.

It's probably just as much a factor of anonymity as it is hatred. This is an anonymous internet forum, so you can say just about anything and get away with it. Like the first time you ever got your mouth washed out for saying a bad word - how long was it until you shouted that word into your pillow? When we know no one will here us talk, or that we won't be known, then we feel bolder to say the things that we have been forbidden to say.
Bigotry is one of the last few major taboos in America, and even someone isn't a bigot, it can be tempting to act like one just to dance with the devil. Some people may understand that bigotry is no longer acceptable in our society, but are still dealing with some frustration or confusion on dealing with other religions. Suppose someone's family was killed in Sept. 11 - he may fully realize that those action's don't reflect on the Muslim people as a whole, but being only human may still feel anger towards them from time to time. Forums like this may be the only way he feels safe to express his feelings.
Then of course there are are some people who believe everything that they are saying literally, and this is just another venue to express their thoughts. These people may or may not be more vocal about it in general society, but it is certainly much safer and easier to express these opinions on the intnernet

I agree with you. You would think this being the religion and spiritual section it would be filled with nice question and answers.
I happen to be of the Christian faith. I give biblical answers to all questions with scripture to back me up when appropriate. The biblical quotes is what Satan attacks most often. The truth will stand when the world is on fire. I will forever stand on the word of God.
God bless you.

My father taught me when I meet someone that I should not ask what religion they are or discuss politics with them. I use to wonder why until I joined yahoo answers. Now I know why. Both are of a personal nature. Arguing about either one isn't worth it but sometimes I get caught up in being defensive. I some times surprise my self.

A lot of emotion is tied up into religion.(and for atheists ther is a lot of emotion in lack of religion) You can't fault people for being testy about this subject. But hate I can do without. I'm a JW and you can imagine the amount of hate filled stuff about us on this site. I really think that betrays the hipocrisy in most religion.

The true faith is a holy faith worshipping a holy god, their is no words of hatred in their souls ,they are holy and are eating spiritally of the tree of life The false faiths speak of evil and give you the knowledge from the tree of good and evil and God warned you if you eat from that tree you die and that means dead forever.,This is what the spirit of God says burn down the tree of good and evil within you inside of you and take nothing more what is called evil inside of you. That is not the world I live in Live your life as you would live it in heaven is the way that leads your spirit onto the KING OF GOD,there is no other way
