Is he under medical treatment? Sounds like he's experiencing withdrawal symptoms. They can last for weeks or months. Also, withdrawal from alcohol can sometimes trigger mood disorders. This is a very vulnerable time for him so you and your mom have to be very supportive and patient. Encourage him to stay sober and don't take anything he says personally.

tell your dad it's not all about hin .
While he's wallowing in self pitty , he is inflicting further pain upon himself , and those he loves .
Weigh up the best way to approach this .
I have no doubt that an independant councellor could steer your family in the right direction , but beware approach your patents first . Express your concerns , and let them Know of your intention .
For to seek help from a third party before consulting those involved directly could infact worsen the situation .
Lay your cards on the table for all to see.

pray for him, pray for your entire family-- pray that your mom may have a little more patience, and stick with the marriage. u see i believe in God, and i bet this is the best answer-i mean turning to God., and dont get frustrated when God doesnt' answer your prayers immediately.-he works in his own time.
pray that u guys dont give up.. and love him, i know it may be a little hard, esp when the drinking symptoms go awry, but please love him, dont abandon him, this is when he needs you more. also some professional ideas would help, but getting him into therapy would help alot .
ask him to join AA-alcoholics annonymous.but the huddle is with getting him to admit that he has a problem...

Unfortunatly there is nothing you can do, besides suggest group therapy so he does not feel that he is the root of the problem, often people suffering from mental issues, do not reconize they have a problem. Avoid conflict is my only other piece of advice.

Tell him how it makes you feel and what he can do to not impact you adversely.
Then let it go.
You can't change people.
