I will admit that I am not a perfect parent, but I do the best I can. I spend alot of time with my children, since they are both special needs. My daughter has a learning disability, my son has CP, is in a wheelchair due to his CP, needs to be fed through a tube, is still in diapers even though he is 11. I allow my daughter to help with his feedings, but not the changing of diapers as she is only 12.

I am a very good parent, not a day passes where I haven't done my best for all my kids, I gave birth because I wanted children and I wanted to do my best for them. I try and help them to grow up to be independent and experience as much as possible, they have friends in and out all the time, I ensure they have all they need but not all they want, they may get some stuff they want if I can afford it. I only ask in return that my kids will look back one day and know they had a wonderful childhood and a good start in life. After that it's up to them. 2 of my kids are now 30 ish the others 18 and 15, so far I am proud of who they are becoming!!

I believe that I am a good parent, My daughter comes first in anything I think or do. If I what to go out and can not find anyone I trust or Know then I don't go, I will take her any where with me. and love her company. She is my soul mate, Friend and the person other than my husband that I would die for.Your children are the one thing that you are put on this plant for . She doesn't get her own way, she is not spoilt I have no problem in saying no to her. and sometimes we argue and sometimes she can be a hand full. but she is mine. ( by the way she is 5 going on 15) and if anything happened to her my life would be over.

That is a very harsh thing to say. I deem myself a good parent, my daughter is polite, kind, and very intelligent. However I only get to spend about 2 hours a day wither her. I take her to the play centre in the morning, then she is at school, then she goes to after school clubs, then she plays out with her friends, by then its time for bed. Every other weekend she goes to stay with her father. Its not a case of I'm to busy - she is. I do have to work else we don't get the nice house, clothes, holidays. Who are you to say that an hour a day means you shouldn't have children.

Our children are well loved and well cared for. They're being taught right from wrong, respect and how to behave in public. They're also learning how to work for what they get. They only get toys for birthdays and Christmas. They get new clothes twice a year. Our children (11 and 10 yr. old boys) tell us we're the best parents in the world. So yes, I think we're good parents.

im not a parent.. yet, but preparing my mind for the time to come.
I belive, that anyone with a devil box, sometimes refered to as a tv in their home, shouldnt have kids. im not religious... but you wouldnt let some guy sit in the corner with a watch telling your child to be violent, demanding, lust for electrical items, behave overly sexually, so why let the tv do it?

Theirs so much more, like driving the kid half a mile to school, indtead of letting it cycle, or swearing infornt of it, feeding them junkk food....

I dont see how in society, anyone cant fall fowl, of in some way becoming a less than excellent parent. If you work to much, they dont get your attention, if you dont work enough, it sets a bad example.

I don't know if we're good parents yet, I am going in hospital later (4pm) to be started off, I'm 11 days over my expected due date. We are all prepared for the arrival and like to think that we'll be great parents. Life is a challenge and you only life once!
