Antidepressants are not suppose to cause itching and hives unless you are having an allergic reaction to the med. Stop taking this drug immediately. You are having an allergic reaction to this med. Go to the doctor at once and tell him you are having a reaction and tell him your symptoms. He will probably give you Benadryl to take away the hives and itching, and prescribe you a different drug.

antidepressants may cause your skin to be more sensitive to sunlight than it is normally. Exposure to sunlight, even for brief periods of time, may cause a skin rash, itching, redness or other discoloration of the skin, or a severe sunburn. When you begin taking this medicine:
Stay out of direct sunlight, especially between the hours of 10:00 a.m. and 3:00 p.m., if possible.
Wear protective clothing, including a hat. Also, wear sunglasses.
Apply a sun block product that has a skin protection factor (SPF) of at least 15. Some patients may require a product with a higher SPF number, especially if they have a fair complexion. If you have any questions about this, check with your health care professional.
Apply a sun block lipstick that has an SPF of at least 15 to protect your lips.
Do not use a sunlamp or tanning bed or booth.
If you have a severe reaction from the sun, check with your doctor . If he agrees you are having an allergic reaction, benedryl is the best an can be purchased over the counter. Your doctor can prescribe what dosage to use, or perhaps give you an RX.

Citalopram is safe and well tolerated in the therapeutic dose range of 20 to 60 mg/day. Distinct from some other agents in its class, Citalopram exhibits linear pharmacokinetics and minimal drug interaction potential, making it a better choice for the elderly, or comorbid patients.
Itching & hives are not commonly seen. Consult a clinical psychiatrist. Citalopram is an SSRI, you can switch to another SSRI.
Available SSRIs are:
(Trade names in parentheses)
citalopram (Celexa, Cipramil, Emocal, Sepram)
escitalopram oxalate (Lexapro, Cipralex, Esertia)
fluoxetine (Prozac, Fontex, Seromex, Seronil, Sarafem, Fluctin (EUR))
fluvoxamine maleate (Luvox, Faverin)
paroxetine (Paxil, Seroxat, Aropax, Deroxat)
sertraline (Zoloft, Lustral, Serlain)
dapoxetine (no known trade name, this drug is under research for using premature ejaculation)

What does the package insert say about possible side effects?
You can call the pharmacy and speak with the pharmacist. Then you would get the "real" answer.
Are you taking any other drugs, illicit or not? Alcohol use? There could be an interaction happening between two or more of them.

There is a whole list of anti-depressants that can cause itching and hives, but they would be more side effects or adverse reactions. What anti-depressant are you on, because for me to list all of them it would take up 6 pages of information, and I can tell you if that one has that listed as a adverse reaction.

Premature ejaculation is caused by specific things that you do before and during sex. Most of the time without even realizing it. Read here https://tr.im/5gRsj
Premature ejaculation is not some gene you're born with, the result of your penis size or a part of your personality that you can never change.

you may have an allergy to something in it...talk to your doc and ask for another one. Ask if he/she may know what would cause that so that you do not take anything else with that substance, you could have a worse reaction later.
