Wellbutrin has the side effect of insomnia, and if you were recently increased this could be why you are experiencing insomnia. Sonata is nonbenzodiazepine hypnotic medication indicated for the short-term sleep problems. These two medications should not interact, are you on any other medications. How long have you been on the Sonata? I would get in touch with your doctor tommorrow. Well technically now this morning. Best of Luck,

I am using Bupropion 150mg (Wellbutrin) but an extended release version taken once daily. Take Wellbutrin XL 300mg in the early morning, as soon as you wake up. Try Lorazepam (marketed under the brand names Ativan, Temesta, Tavor) or Alprazolam (Xanax) instead of Sonata.
Wellbutrin is one of the most safe antidepressant available. You can switch to other drugs but they cause more problems than this. Talk to your doctor, a Clinical Psychiatrist.

Actually there are antidepressants which are taken at night as they help with sleeping. They are an older generation of drugs and its called amitriptyline hydrochloride. You shouldn't start going on zopiclone or zolpidem (two sleeping pills) as they are addictive and obviously it wouldn't be helpful to become addictive. Fluoxetine hydrochloride (Prozac) might also be an option. Have a chat with your doctor.

Get to your Doctor immediately and discuss this with him. I think you may be too over medicated and or the wrong meds. There could be a conflict, but only the medical proffession can help you and your doctor knows the other parts of your history.
Call in the morning and get an appointment. You will be glad you did.

If you are crazy enough to use drugs (medications) then accept that you will have a life of lots of misery. Millions were crazy enough to take Vioxx. You would do better eating spinach. So far one has died. Medications kill 100,000 Americans every year while they cause millions to suffer.

Do this. Buy a magazine with lots of ads for drugs. Read possible side effects. You will find they cover every possible ailment. See this for natural help.
