I want to say that design A actually spreads the idea to give another one (design B)... sort of initating the other design that is based on design A. How do you say that?

I suggest saying "Design B was inspired by Design A", or "Design A inspired Design B".

Not grammatically correct. Make it simple initially. You may need two sentences to explain what you mean. I would not use the word enlightenment. Unless you mean:
during the age of enlightenment ideas were developed that led to further inventions and had a big impact on engineering.
