My cat is a 10 year old female she orinally lived with my parents but I have adopted her as they have moved to Canada. She has been with me for 4 weeks now and she has always been very tiny but very greedy, however the last week she has been moaning continusoly for food, yesterday I fed her a sachet of food in the morining and at 5 when I got home and at 9, but even with all this she still sat by her dish moaning for more all night, but I didnt want to feed her anymore as she seems like she is now getting quite bloated, like i said she has always been greedy and will eat if u put it in front of her but she has never finished a bowl of meat then immedatly moaned for more. Is there anything wrong?

Thanks for your advise so far - forgot to mention she has been spaded!! i do giver her lots of love as she was my pet before I moved out which is why I took her on rather than letting me parents take to to the cats home. However im not sure she is happy as im at work all day and i live in a flat (ground floor so she can go out when im there) but during the day she is locked in with a litter tray, maybe she is stressed/bored - I hate the thought of dumping her on a cat home but I do feel like im being unfair!!!

Dont worry I wont be feeding her asprin (why would that person suggest that - I hope they just didnt know it was toxic as the other reason for suggesting it is unthinkable)
I have been feeding her a mix of meat and dry!!!

it could be the stress of moving, but then again it could be something else like worms. you should probably have a vet check her out and definitely do not mix aspirin in with any of the food unless you want a dead cat.

I would take her to a vet for a check up to rule out any health issues. Thyroid problems happen in cats and cause a big increase in appetite. Do you feed dry cat food?
You could free feed her dry and canned twice a day. Asprin good grief she wants to cure the cat not kill it! Asprin is toxic to cats..

Oh, I think she misses her home. Cats are territorial. And like a human, is trying to eat away the pain.

Try catnip. It will make her relax and aid her digestive system.

Talk with Mom and Dad. Maybe they can shed a little light on the situation.

Take her to the vet if she seems to get any worse.

She might miss her original owners (I know, I have 2 adopted cats, and it took a while) Otherwise, I would take her to the vet to get her checked out, she might be sick (not finishing her food, but asking for more?)

asprins? the cat is stressed and depressed and wants to over eat. find other things for her. toys, catnip, cat grass, something to keep her busy other than food. a few extra hugs might help too.

Maybe she is depressed because you are gone all day. But I still think she'd be better off with you and at a cat home

Pregancy, stress from the move, depression, or a medical condition, best bet is to take her to tthe vet she is an old cat and might be sick

she's probably reacting to the stress of moving and adjusting to a new home. Try lavishing love on her and spend as much time with her as possible
