My Ex thinks I dumped her beacause she cheated on me. I would have forgiven her for it given the circumstances. What I couldn't forgive her for was lying to be about it, even after she was caught.

He thought I was leaving him cuz I was a b!tch and cuz I was leaving him for another guy I'd met.
I had met someone that treated me a helluva lot better, but I left the ex because he'd been an abusive drunk for our entire four years, and made me feel like I had the value of a piece of furniture. The other guy was so nice to me that within a couple of months, my self-esteem had strengthened enough to give me the courage to leave the drunk jerk.

My ex thinks i dumped him for my now husband. I wasnt seeing anyone new I just wanted to get rid of the jerk because he was a stalker

my ex thinks I dumped him because I found another man, actually I dumped him because he was very self centred, went out to the pub every lunchtime and had me and the kids waiting for him in car park, he was crap in bed, he was ignorant. I wrote this all down for him because he wouldn't believe me when I told him, he used the letter in court when I applied for divorce!!!! how sad can you get??

why does anyone dump the other person ... if you truly liked or loved that person, then it's because of ego. too much pride to say you were wrong or to say you were sorry for something. people like to take the easy way out and the easiest way out of a relationship is just to say goodbye.
