god is an idea created by man because he is to get support from unknown force when he fails to face miseries and problems, physical as well as mental in his life. he created god so that he can rely upon god when no body comes to his rescue.

The answer is not so simple and also subject to controversy. In a nutshell, "God" is the all pervading consciousness; by consciousness, i mean that it is the realizing force present in us, which makes "us" i.e., our "I".
The collective accumulation of all realization would make us aware of everything. Following this logic, it transpires that "God" is envisaged as the supreme realization and we are the split up entities. Scientifically, God would be the "All" of Universe and big bang or whatever theory had then split the concentrated mass into entities (which became earth and the living beings within). Reasonable isn't it?
Also we may not be the only ones to be split up in this fashion, there may be many other galaxies like ours, which would also explain to an extent the alien concept.
The creation which you refer to is only the awareness or realization - of the split up forms. That is why many Hindu scriptures talk about the potential of the mind. That is why there are different Religions! You will become what you envisage!
Anyway to conclude, Religion explains science in practical terms i.e., it urges us to follow a particular path and know the proof for ourselves while science needs the proof first to undertake the journey.
In such a stalemate, only those who undertake the journey can know!!!

Consider that believers and non-believers alike must follow the same command as all of the creation of the God. They all must BE. The difference is that Humans have the illusion of choice of how they BE. The material of the universe, which includes all that is external and internal to them helps in establishing, defining, developing, and chalenging their BEing-ness.
The God created the Humans to do just what you did, Question. The interogatory process is the way we arrive at answers. Even though the answers to the querry could be right or wrong, the answers could have elements of right &/or wrong in depending on the circumstances. We are challenged by the use of moderation in some of our life questions. We are infants, children at best whose fu,nction is to learn how to become the eyes, ears, hand & heart of the creator of the universe.
In order to achieve this we must experiment with the Life by Living it to the fullest with the modreation, that suits our individual self. For instance, it would be useless to hold blind or deaf people to the same standards of understanding of color and shape, or harmony & pitch, as one would who is not afflicted with these physical challenges. The way they perceive the Universe is different collectively and individually.
As Humans we fail to understand properly. We have the erroneous notions, that we have all of the answers, know everything, or cannot or should not make mistakes. We forget that to not use introspection is like living in a house without mirrors. We forget to laugh!
We are haughty & arrogant to think that we know all there is to know about the Universe of the God. We forget that we are still learning. Look at articles & thesis on subjects regarding the God or the Universe. The articles are reflective of the limitations of the Human. We are here to improve upon the successes, while moderating the excessess of those before or current to us, through our worship. Our actions, work, deed, and intent are our worship.
Your question helps us all to see the different viewpoints of others, while hopefully causing us to ponder and wonder about our personal views. This is the way that we develop, evolve, improve, reshape our perspective as well as our BEing-ness itself.
The Universe is a learning tool for Humans. In the discipline of physics, water seeks its own level. It will be how and where it is supposed to be. Thinking, acting on our thoughts does the same for Humans. To question, ponder, wonder, imagine, create, play work, dream, or think is the worship. To act in a conscious manner doing to others as we would have done to ourselves is the conviction of worship.
Ibn Arabi perhaps was both correct and incorrect, in that his discriptions were in agreement with the attributes of the God. The God is both the Manifest and Hidden. We really do not know what the God revealed to him or how he received it. Yes the God was within him and in a very limitted sense, he was the God.
One of the observations of some Atheist and some Agnostics is that there is no evidence that God exist. The Universe, both macrocasm & microcasm are the portals towards the understanding something of the God . The God is a comedian remember. The same God that designs an impalla or wilderbeast to walk shortly after its born, designs his most intelligent creation to walk in a signigicantly longer period. We Huamans can be a little slow on the uptake. Sometimes we tend to miss the point
The nature of Humans is to learn. We have the laboratory of Universe to entertain us, and help us achieve that end. We learn of true and false, truth and lie, our own faults, success and what does not work.
We are here to learn service and the beauty of serving one another. That is the reason that the maker gave us backs that we cannot scratch by ourselves. We must rely on the charity of another to do it just right. This socialization requires that the scratcher and the itcher, must come to an agreement as to the method required to accomplish the task in a manner that works for both. They learn to communicate and cooperate with one another.

I haven't seen a concrete answer from scripture, so all I can do is guess because I truly don't know.
My guess would be for companionship. Not that He was lonely because I believe He had the angles with Him before creating us, but I believe because the angles didn't have freewill as we do. To have companions that choose to be with God rather than the angles who don't have a choice.

If this universe has a meaning and an origin, it should be beyond our knowledge. But religions try to explain that in an explainable manner, by personifying God, like a mythological tale. And so, lots of questions like yours arise..

We were created to worship and fellowship with God.
The universe was created for us, for life and to explore. Energy from stars, supernova etc.. is need to sustain life on earth. In other words without the universe we could not have life as we know it and without life their is no reason for the universe.

The nature of God to love has made Him create something that will reflect Him...man..it is like a mirror.Yet He wanted His creature to have a free will because He would be glorified if we choose to serve Him...
You are product of God's Love...He has so much beauty in Him that He wanted to create creatures that would experience it and lavish it...and He created man.
God's plan was disrupted when man chose to disobey...
Now Satan boasts that humanity does not like God as a person, but prefers evil...thus trying to portray God as an UNFAIR JUDGE who sends people to hell...his idea here is that Satan himself would end up having enough grounds to say "God, why should you send me to eternal torment of the lake of fire after the end of the world, even your own creatures prefer evil over your RIGHTEOUS character...Satan knows that his time is almost up!No wonder all kinds of immorality and perversion is now unleashed...Satan wants more souls to burn with him in the lake of fire!
But Jesus has released more believers all over the world to reach the humble...when I say humble, I don't mean pious, I mean people who would follow the truth when they find it!
May we wake up, Jesus Christ is coming and all the prophecies in the bible are being fulfilled before our eyes...COME BEFORE IT IS TOO LATE!

God created us because He wanted to have a close relationship with us. But we sin and we try to run away from Him, and spoil the whole purpose!! So, please let us all realize the purpose for our creation and be with Him. Finally, He created the world and universe for us, He wanted to make us happy, thats all!! Bye!

We are his version of SIMS but with free will. The angels on the other hand are supposed to watch and witness.
