LOL, at first reading your question I was worried, but when you threw in the fact that you have a 12 week old, all questions in my mind were answered. She is simply jealous of the baby. Let her feed the baby, if you are breast feeding, let her teach the baby how to suck your nipples, let her teach the baby everything. She's the older sister, so in her eyes, she's the boss, not you. You are merely the mother. lol. Good luck.

When my daughter was 14 months old I started cutting up cheese into little squares and I would slice turkey and chicken lunch meat into small strips. She loved eating this. She also started eating mandarin oranges at this age.

My philosophy is that she'll eat when she's hungry. Offer her good healthy foods and let her choose how much to eat.

My daughter is 16 months old and still does this sometimes. She'll have days when she eats maybe a couple of tablespoons of food at each meal and a cup of milk for weeks at a time. Then one morning she'll wake up and eat cups and cups of food at each meal and drink a cup of milk and a cup of juice at each meal.

Things my daughter eats

avacado, potato, chicken, lunch meat, salmon, carrots, peas, green beans, pears, peaches, oranges, cottage cheese, yogurt, ramen noodles, cheese noodles, cheese, hamburger, bread,

my kids do this all the time. after about a week or so of not eating, they will suddenly start eating enough for a grown man. as long as she is still drinking and staying hydrated, i wouldn't worry too much. when the rest of the family sis down to eat, put her in her chair and offer her a few crackers or something she will be able to snack on. this usually gets my kids to eat at least a little something

If she is teething it probably hurts to chew, don't worry she will eat when she is hungry.

But if you are still want her to eat more cut back on the liquids, then she will have more room for solids.

If it is baby food put a little sugar in it to make it a little bit sweeter.

At 14 months she may be getting her molar teeth in. My daughter quit eating every time she was teething.

As long as she is hydrated, trust me kids will not starve themselves.

this is what i had to do with my daughter...i stopped giving her any milk or juice untill she ate some soild food...be it a hot dog then she would get some milk..her pediatrician is the old who told me to do this also to feed her at regular times and if she doesnt eat dont try to force her and she wont get anything untill her 1st snack time.

my dr always told me not to worry. a child is not going to starve themself. they will eat when they are hungry. make sure you still offer a variety of good foods. cheerios are good for a snack. and the gerber toddler finger foods.

it is just a phase...but I would not want her to go with out eating either I would try to make things fun ......use cookies cutters for sandwiches makes smiley faces out of cereal......fun things work ....but as others have said I WOULD NOT be adding sugar ....she will expect it and she is just going to burn it up fast or store it and lets remember that EXTRA sugar and sweets are not good........HOPE this helps.......good luck

try letting her feed herself. my son that is the same age doesn't like when i try to feed him. he wants to be a "big boy" and feed himslef. just give her finger foods that she can try.
