This happens when the atmosphere stains your son's hair.White is is more porous and will soak up "colours" more than others.
There is a shampoo from Scharzkopf that you can get to counteract this.It can be bought in hairdressers which use the Schwarzkopf brand. The colour of the shampoo itself is blue and will help kill the yellow in your little one's hair.
It can be left on the hair to neutralise the yellow depending on how yellow the hair is.

Hi

You need Schwarzopf Touch of Silver Silver Reflex shampoo. I guarantee this works. It is available from some Chemists. It seems quite expensive but goes a long way. My hairdresser says ignore the instructions! Use normal shampoo for first wash and Touch of Silver for second, leave for up to 5 minutes - I leave while I bathe - wash off and condition as normal.

hair is porous, therefor will suck up any dirt in the evironment. People with blonde or white hair who smoke have yellow tinges from nicotine. Obviously your son doesn't lol but does anyone around him? Try using a pre-technique shampoo which you will have to buy in a salon this purifys hair before treatments. Once you have reduced the yellow try a serum or a wax to coat his hair to prevent it being affected by his enviroment. Any good salon will give you FREE advice on hair care and products.

Look for Clairol Shimmer Lights shampoo. It's made just for white and grey hair, to keep it from turning yellow. My grandmother used it, and her hair was *always* a gorgeous snow white. I know it's stocked at Sally's Beauty Supply, but you can probably find it in any good shampoo aisle.

any thing with a purple or blue color. that is opposite on the color wheel and the violet color counteracts the yellow. usually yellowing is caused by sun exposure. being albino im sure you are careful but is may be why. i used to work in a salon with a lot of little old white hair ladies, this is how we kept their hair looking good

Aveda do a shampoo specifically for white hair, I believe its called Blue Malva, Im not sure if they still stock it, but Im sure they would do something. Their range is excellent for adults to, its all based on plant ingredients and really kind to scalp and hair. If you do a google search you should be able to find your nearest shop, failing that I believe QVC stock it.

Boots do a good range for grey/white hair, obviously it is really meant for ageing people but I bought My Nan and her hair is snowy white now as opposed to a faint blonde!
