These days i've been very careless. I really dont care what anyone else does becoz my eldest brother is horrible to me all the time he thinks just because he is older than me it means that i have to take all the s**t he gives me. And my mom is always on his side. Last nite he had a big fight with me. I was just sitting down and evry1 int he family was being noisy wile i tried to do some homework. So i said be quiet evry1. My older bro goes psyco at me and says dont tell me to shut up im older than u and now evry1 in the family is angry at me and i dont know what i did! ouch! Nowadays it seems like the only happines i can find is when i'm with my friends. And i now have to just try to stay away from my family. Would this be my fault or my family's fault.

It's not the noise that annoys me it's that my brother and the rest of myfamily disrespects me and expect me to take it all in and when i respond i end up gettin grounded and stuff.

I soooooooooooooooooooo know whatchu mean!!!!!!!!!! My brother is only 11 months older than me and you swear the way he talks to me that he's years beyond me! Like "hello, ur not even a full year older, jerk, get out of my face!" Just ignore him that the best and really only solution--anything I would say directly to my brother, every1 (especially my mother) would find fault in what I said or did to him not the other way around--even if he was the instigator. If you have good friends who understand and treats you will some respect and make you happy--spend more time around them, b/c u don't need that kind of abuse (verbal, mental, physical, emotional)

You need to get your mom off to yourself and tell her how you feel. It might be that when you get angry, you let your emotions run away with you, and you are the one that they hear more than him. If you have a room that you can close the door, that might help too. I agree that your mom needs to talk to him, but where the problem is probably is that maybe you and your mom get into it, and maybe some bad words are said, so it becomes a fight between you and your mom. Don't fall into your brother's little trap, and maybe you should warn your mother ahead of time, and then just go and tell her he is doing it again. Maybe by knowing ahead of time, she will step in and make the fair decision. You should have quiet time, but he is just testing you. Get mom on it ahead of time, maybe that will eliminate your words between you and your mom, and won't end up in a mom and daughter fight.

sounds like you have a very noisy and unsupporting family. Why don't you try to do study/homework at the school library or some plcae like that? but once you concentrate on your work, you can actually block out the noise around you especially if you can get a quiet corner or use cotton wool in your ears.

we were not given the chance to choose our family. They're the only people we got who will fight for us till the end. Though there are times when things really do become wild, you just have to be patient. Talk to your parents about how you feel, they are in the right position to talk to your brother and other siblings. take care!

You need to find your own quiet spot to do your work.
You must try to get along with your family even if they don't try.
If things are not going well go to your quiet spot and stay away from them...eventually it will get better.
If you do your school work ...one day you will have your own way.
