There is a saying that goes something like "you replace a screw with another screw" or something like that. Does anyone know how is it said in spanish?

Actually there is a saying in Spanish which resembles your quote which means in English "you take one nail out with another nail." This is the closest I can get to your quote. I've never heard anything in Spanish about a screw. I hope this has helped you.
