Does smoking make you look cool?

I alway's had a feeling smoking will make me look cool is this true?Does anyone feel the same?

Actually, hun, smoking is one of the stupidest things to start. && one of the hardest things to quit. I just recently stopped smoking. && I regret every pack of cigarettes I put into my body. All it does, is lower your blood circculation. Blacken and fill your lungs with tar. Which kills you sooner than when you should die. Gives you tons of health problems. Smoking is by far one of the un-coolest things to do. Why do something, that kills you sooner, than to live and tell what you did your whole life. Think about it, while you were smoking that cigarette, what could you have been doing besides that...? You could of been becoming famous blah blah etc... but instead you decided to light the cancer stick and die about 20 years before you should. My best suggestion is to not even start smoking. It's the hardest thing to quit. Once you light it up, you won't quit, until you've realized what you've done. And that's usually about 5 or 40 years later when it starts waring you down. && cancer starts up. Hopefully you make the right decision.

I understand what you're saying, like the old cowboys in the old westerns wouldn't look as cool if they were all tobacco chewers instead of smokers. but I guess we've all been trained to see someone a certain way when they are holding a cigarette ad. Imagine if we'd never seen anyone else smoke, not tv, not commercials, or anything. Would we even think of the adjective cool? no, its a word that was put together with cigarette so many times that its hard not to associate the two together. Not that I think it's cool, i think its a waste of money, you're "buzz" only lasts a couple of minutes, unless you're hardcore and then I don't think you get one. You're just so used to the nicotine that it doesn't affect you anymore, and that's not cool. At least get a buzz with what you're smoking. Am I right?

No it does not make you look cool. Most people nowadays say it makes you look dumb bc of all the health problems it can cause and it makes your clothes stink breath stink and it stains your house and your teeth it turns them yellow after you smoke a long time and it is hard to get rid of the tench and no one wants to kiss you bc you will taste like an ashtray. Be smart do not start and if you have quite as soon as possible.

not so much looking cool as it sort of makes you part of the community of smokers... there's a connection between smokers, a sort of social outlet that can make meeting other smokers a little easier. not sure if anyone thinks it looks cool or not nowadays, it used to be cool like 10 years ago, but the militant anti-smokers have made people who smoke into almost criminals (which is ridiculous)

I used to smoke. I think I thought I was cool when I started. All my friends did it. Truth is its a waste of money -- a pack a day is 120.00 a month -- and quitting an addiction is one of the worst things you will go through in life.

Have a think on this... you're immaturely trying to look cool by smoking. Guess what? NO, smoking will not make you look cool. it will however make you stink, make your clothes stink, give you a cough, give you nasty phlem, give you bad skin, make you shaky from a nicotine fit, make your fingernails yellow, make you waste a lot of money, etc., etc. please don't start. i was 15 when i was curious and wanted to try one. i got hooked from the first one. it took me 7 years to realize that it is disgusting and just ridiculous. i quit 16 months ago. it's still really hard sometimes. just don't do it, ok?! it's not cool.

It depends what u are smoking, cigarettes are nasty for one thing, but if ur smoking some exotic stuff, then ur cool cause u actually gotta know certain kinds of people to get that kind of product.

It makes you look stupid. I mean it. It is not that it is bad for the health, disturbing to others and your breath smells and no one likes to kiss you or be around you. It does make you look like a stupid kid who thinks that will look cool and tries desperately, because he isn't cool.

Will it cool if you start coughing mucus-like stuff out in the mornings? Or getting lung cancer. Or yellow-looking teeth. I don't think would make you look cool, just stupid.
