I'd like a lot of people to learn how to properly use English grammar!

Solly, I'm not saying I'm the king of grammar. I'm asking why so many people get 'alot' mixed up with 'a lot'? Can you properly answer the question? Thanks.

I totally agree! Not to mention spelling words wrong! When did the Schools start teaching the current way of spelling?

Your Q is more of a rant than anything else, but the Scotch has started talking for me.
An individual's perception of what constitutes proper language is based on their experience with written and spoken forms. This includes concepts such as spelling, pronunciation, grammar, and vocabulary.
Language is not static - it is constantly changing. The words that are not accepted today will become entries in the OED tomorrow. So long as I can understand what people are saying, I'll focus on the substantive matter, and let people like yourself worry about "proper usage." I'll be left having an interesting conversation, and you'll be muttering to yourself about all the dullards.
I looked at your last question, and noticed that your own use of English could stand improving.
Before you go carping on other people, it is best if you make sure your own ducks are in a row.

a lot is 2 words brought together in the form of one word, people just spell it wrong all the time.

Oh, we do know it, but it came along with the years to...link these 2 words 2gether!
Why do you say: Je suis tombe' en amour, instead of saying: je suis tombe' amoureux
....? Or why we say : Let's do it, instead of let us do it ?
