Everyone talks about how dangerous online dating is, but does anyone know of any specific cases of a girl going on an online date and being raped or kidnapped? I am looking for links to news articles.

I honestly cant remember exact cases but I have seen things on the news about specific people. Also, dateline does a spot all the time, not sure if its weekly but older men talking to what they think is a 14 yr old girl sometimes boy and they meet and then they catch them. Sometimes they come with alcohol, one guy came with rope and duck tape. Its scary. It all boils down to common sense. If you are going to meet someone online, do it in a public place, bring a friends, let everyone know who you are going to meet, where you will be. Dont meet some guy alone at 3 am.. common sense.

One girl told me that this douche bag used GHB on her and thankfully ~ her friend was there for her rescue ! It's a good idea to bring along a friend ( just in case ) the person turns out to be a creep !
