For a long time this person - my mother's husband - has exersized abuse and mean, offensive, derogatory remarks, towards and about me. Sometimes it has developed into post traumatic stress and others times it causes a lot of worry and anxiety. How I do I get them to stop once and for all?

He is a jerk , you know it so when he something ridiculous just remember he is an idiot and don't sweat it. Remember this guys who talk tough or put people down are wimps themselves. I am sure you are bright enough to fire back at him.

Dealing with abuse within the family is one thing and another thing when it comes from outside such as your workplace. That does not however mean you should take abuse lying down. Talk to your mom if she's still sane living with that man. Or if you are old enough move out. or better still file a complaint.

You said THEM was that just a slip a or is your Mom doing it too? If it is only him tell your Mom and hopefully she will believe you .But you can always talk to someone at church, school or another family member outside of the home.No one has to take abuse ,no one.Tell some one right now.

I believe that he is your step father. I am not sure how old you are and I think that you are so young the you have to stay with them. You should tell your mother all about it in details and seriously. You may plea for legal help if my previous suggestion does not work.

He is abusive and you need to remove him from your life. If you are living under the same roof as your mum and him, move out. If you run into him at family functions, don't go.
It always takes two - one to abuse you and you to allow it to happen.
