Almost all the reputable research studies in peer-reviewed journals show no link between aspartame and ill-effects on your health. I applaud your decision to switch from regular to diet soda. I hated diet at first and tried to come up with all the excuses I could to not switch. It took me about 2 weeks to get used to it, and now I have no preference.

I found that the only potential danger with aspartame is if you have a rare allergy to certain amino acids.

Diet soda is not great for you, but it is definitely better for you than regular soda. Sugar and high calorie diets kill a lot more people than the stuff that people claim diet soda causes.

Also, a recent study showed that the average person loses one pound a month by discontinuing consumption of regular soda.

To make a long story short: drink whatever diet soda you think tastes best. They are all safe.

water, tea or coffee.

water- boring, can kill you if you drink too much to fast during activity(1+ gal in 1 hr), but in moderation is good.

Coffee- if black, non flavored coffee 10 cal per 8oz serving.... if sensitive to caffine the muscle twiching alone will burn off those calories in no time. Has lots of anti-oxidants but low quanity of any of them.

Tea- there are 3 types herbal(no caffine more fruity flavored) Green- supposed to be the healthiest has some caffine, can use some honey to sweeten it. honey is much healthier than anything else for these drinks. and black tea- some varieties have far more caffine than coffee and some don't.

for me 90% of what i drink is coffee and water, and i drink tea once or twice a week. about the same as soda.

Water is the only true diet drink that is fully safe to drink and unfortunately not all water is 100% safe to drink either!
Try filtered water using a brita filter system or one similar!

Diet sodas are bad for you. The ingredients have been shown to cause cancer in rats. You'd be better off drinking regular sodas. Best best is to stop drinking sodas altogether and start drinkning only water and all-natural juices. Organic milk is good for you too.

I would not suggest drinking anything diet, the sugar that they use is not good for your health it can cause you to go blind, cause cancer and other health risk. I would suggest drinking a lot of water, instead of diet anything!

What unsafety? There is no legitimate indication that there is anything unsafe in them.
