yes you can do it, thats not out of the normal range at all, 2 pounds per week is suggested by most doctors, stop eating carbs, eat lots of green and yellow veggies, tomatoes, raw fruit, low fat milk and cheese, cottage cheese, and yogurt with artificial sweeteners unless dairy makes you puff up, which it does a few people. eat lean broiled or baked meats, skinless chicken breast, fish, some beef, and even lean ham, drink lots of water to keep the body flushed out, avoid caffein. good luck, im sure you are lovely.

My ideas? Try to do 200 minutes of cardio a week. Remember fat does not turn into muscle, so you need to lose your fat while putting on muscle. Work hard, but don't over 60 minutes at a time. Do planks and other abs exercises on alternate days.
On training days, do 5-10 minutes of cardio to warm up, then do your weight training. Do 30 to 60 minutes more of cardio, then go home.
The best time to eat is just after your workout within an hour when your metabolism is raging. For your muscles, incorporate some isolated soy protein or whey protein. Whey is more potent but the soy tastes better!
Don't look at your scale as the be all and end all, but get a measuring tape to check your progress, and that will show more tangible results.
Read magazines like Shape, Womens Fitness, Fitness, etc to get tips and to stay motivated.
Good luck and stick at it. This plan has lost me 20 lbs in 12 weeks so far, just go for it!

My weight varies by up to five pounds in a given week, I don't know if you have noticed this about yourself as well but it could throw things off a little. Drink tea (tea is a diuretic, makes you pee. Green tea is best I think), use saunas, do easy excercises for long periods of time; walking for an hour, concentrate on "problem areas" you might have. Like for instance if you feel you are too fleshy in the butt and thighs you should do squats, without useing weights.
Remember; if you go right into lots of heavy-duty excercising and working out with lots of heavy weights you will build muscle under your fatty tissue, this will make you look fat, even if you have a lower body fat percentage than normal

Dr's. recommend only losing 1-2 lbs per week so that the weight does not come back as fast as it came off. That is how I've kept off weight consistently. Start by laying off the soda and sweets and drinking some 2% milk and sugar free low fat yogurt in their place. Try walking 10,000 steps a day and you'll find out if inactive or not. Good Luck

If you're starting a diet you can because you lose more weight in the first weeks but the average recommended weight loss is 1-2 lb per week...The important thing is to eat healthy and excercise at least three times a week..good luck.

I guess it's OK. It depends how much you exercise. I lost 6 pounds in 1 week. I run on the treadmill for about an hour everyday. Then I started losing more during the week. And also watching your calories and what you eat helps.

That's not too much. If you are eating well and exercising, try additional fiber and drink more water. Drinking water will actually help reduce the amount of water your body is retaining. But in three weeks you can do some decent toning in the gym or drop fat with some cardio work.

Some people want to know how much weight per week is safe to lose. Others want to know how much weight they will lose sticking to a certain program. There are lots of people who repeat what they have heard but no reliable sources say that only a certain amount is safe to lose. You can drink too much water, eat too much, exercise too much and fast too long (an MD fasted a fat guy for 8 months and he died). But you can not sleep too much! Why? Because you do not control how much you get only how little you get. You cannot force yourself to sleep if you do not need it.
So you do not choose how quickly you lose weight. Your body decides that. So only your body knows how much you lose. It will only allow you to lose what is safe. One guy under an MD's care lost 180 pounds in a year fasting on weekends. So some lose quickly on a bad weight loss plan and others lose slowly on a great weight loss plan. Make sure to eat foods with nutrients for skin, like omega-3 fatty acids, to avoid loose skin, when you lose weight.
Diets do not work. 99% of people gain the weight back. Here is how it works. No one teaches the animal what to eat and what not to eat. He knows instinctively what to eat. Humans also have the same instinct. The way it works is just eat whatever tastes good and that will be healthy for you and non-fattening. That is why a baby tastes everything. So again whatever tastes good, is good for you. This is why you will spit out spoiled milk.
But wait!!! Man has the technology to create rat poison. It tastes like healthy food (good taste) but kills the rat. So man has done that to you. Note- any food unaltered by man (uncooked) that tastes good, is good for you. So if you are stranded in the woods, that is how you know what to eat (cooking changes that). So man has created fake fruit. It tastes like fruit that exists in nature but it is terrrible for health, addictive and fattening called sweets.
So it is natural to like real sweets called fruit, like a baby does, but they have fooled you just like the rat. But they do not want to kill you. They want you to become obese so you will buy lots of their foods. This is called GOOD BUSINESS. Remember the above (not on site) and see site below to re-learn how to eat so you can be thin and fit for life.
