I've been told that 3 times. I also been told all my life that if i try to do something good i'll fail.

It seems to me that you must have done many things that hurt her deeply... you shd ask urself what have you done wrong... no mother would say such things for no reason...

This is so sad I am a mum and would never tell my kids things like that. sure you may get mad with them but to go that far. You did not ask for your life it was your mother that gave it to you. Not the other way around. My husband Say's things like that to my son's especially one more then the others I have told him not to say that. Its sad mostly out of angry and he says he never means it but it still has to be doing some damage. you will not always fail but if your told that often enough then due to that your heading for a fail more often then not. I really don't know what I can say or do to make this not happen any more to you. but try and show your mom that your not a failure and that you did not ask for your life she gave it to you. I wish I could give you a hug right now and tell you that your a good and wonderful person.

yeah, heard it so many times from my mom but im sure she didn't mean it. I knew that she's just having a hard time raising us, life's really hard back then so she just burst it out of desperation. Honestly, there were times that i also pray to just be dead so i wont be able to hear it anymore but God is so great that He just gave me lots of very good and understanding friends. I was also able to find solace from my guardian and my teachers. They never fail to lighten my thoughts. Now, im working already, have my own family but no kids yet. I guess i understand my mom now, more than ever. Im also a first grade teacher so i learned to appreciate every little deeds of my pupils. Im doing my best to really connect with them and give the best wisdom and knowledge that i can share with them. Don't take it so hard, try to think of good things about your mom. I pray that you'll be able to overcome it soon. God bless!

Ya .many a times.and i m sure evrybody in this wotld hear to all such comments.the simple reason being,she knows no matter wat happns ,we will b thr for her.she can b herself wen she is with us.she says all this wen she is irritated at something and the anger is on us.but have u ever thot that she is the one who was the happiest person on earth wen u were born.u r her part of body and she wud never say such a thing seriously.from her she only wishes that u excel in life.wen she talks abt ur failure also she wants and praises to god that u r successful in life.so dont worry and forget all bad memories,remem only the good ones.The brain is too small for ant thing bad!!!!!

Hey sonny all you can do is try to ignore it and just keep in mind that it will make u a fighter when u get okder and just remember that may be she's upset , about something and maybe you guys should sit down together and talk it out if possible...

I used to get told that all the time. Also I was told regularly that I didnt have the sense to pour piss out of a boot. Just suck it up and become successful in your personal life.

My son was a troubled teenager and we went through a lot of struggles my own family wanted me to have him go into the foster system but I refused and told them that he was my son and I would stand by him no matter what he did. I love him unconditionally and I myself was the complete opposite and my mother or father never said those things to me, It seems to me that your mother has some issues she needs to deal with and she needs to show you that she loves you unconditionally and find better ways to express herself.

I know this is 9 years late but yeah... And then she went on to say my sister was perfect and i was just a pathetic loser who would probably never get married and die alone...and she KNOWS im depressed and already beat myself up about everything...yeah some people REALLY shouldnt be mothers...

OH!! God No never i love my son as I love my own self , he is my heart and soul. i just care for him so much that when he recently had his car out of service I gave him mine and I tok the bus, See he works partial evenings and i get home early but I wouldn't want him riding the buses where I live too many LOCOS, out at nite.

All the time mister. But she really doesn't mean it. I used to tell my friends "No, you don't understand - she really wishes I wasn't born - I can tell by her face and how she said it" ... But really.....parents get mad too. And It will just make you stronger if you surpass this. Also about failing... my parents did that to me too... but know I just prove them wrong. :)
