yes. in India they say" touch wood. " i don't know who started in the beginning. but i don't believe it. so i don't do it.

Yeah but I do that after I said something like "It's going to be a sunny day tomorrow...touch wood" The touch wood is to ward off bad weather. It is the same as "knock on wood"

i do that sometimes especially when watching a cricket match which includes India, i feel that there is nothing bad with it may sound superticious but it makes us feel better and secured about that thing or that someone.

Most chinese will say "touch wood" or "choy".
But proper should be "knock on wood".
And yes, people still say that. (at least friends around me do.)
