I you had nothing in the car then no conversation. I didn't hear you say they planted anything. And if you know so much about the rights how did they violate yours. Was your family arrested or was it you. Are searches incident to lawful arrest illegal. Plain view doctrine, works for me. Terry V. Ohio works for me too, officer safety. Everybody knows the criminal has more rights than the police, sit in on a suppression hearing.
We could post multiple links to show our point.
Your hard earned tax dollars are hard at work by the police.
They paid the ultimate price for serving people like you.

I grew up in a law enforcement family and was a police officer and chief. I've seen blatant corruption rarely and in many of those cases have seen the officers involved end up in prison. I have never had a single suspect assert any of my officers robbed them in my fourteen years as a chief. I have definitely seen probable cause stretched beyond reason and needless arrests made because the officer let their frustration or emotions get out of hand (it is not stress-free job you know), but most judges and prosecutors, not all, do not let that slide unless the suspect has a thick arrest jacket, and even though I don't like it, the community is often better off when that happens.
Since leaving law enforcement I've done years of community volunteer work in the prison system, and the claims of complete innocence have been very few and far between, even on death row. What I have seen, beyond any denial, is that we have three different justice systems: One for rich white people, one for poor white people, and one for people of color. I've seen a black man get two and half years on the prison farm for stealing $8 dollars worth of Mrs. Fields Cookies. I've seen a retarded white teenager tried as an adult and sent to the prison farm in a five minute trial for breaking into a laundromat candy machine to get food for his starving and dying mother. I've seen the white son of a wealthy chemical manufacturer burglarize an appliance store for over $100K worth of goods and get caught selling the TVs off the back of the truck across the state line not do even an hour in jail, despite that it was his eighth felony arrest.
So, yes there are problems in the CJ system from the police force to the probation officer, no doubt about it. And with the Patriot Act and the Bush administrations assault on the Bill of Rights, it's likely to get much worse than I've seen. The vast majority of police officers correctional officers, prosecutors, public defenders, judges and probation officers I have known from coast to coast are decent people. It only takes a handful of assholes to make them all look bad, and everyone can have a bad day, make a bad judgment call.
Believe it or not almost everything a police officer does is a judgment call to some degree, and the call he makes is often influenced by how the person in front of him handles the situation. In any confrontation the officer is at risk and they know it. They must maintain control of every encounter and maintain their position of authority. It simply can't be otherwise for everyone's sake. Your conduct good or bad will tend to set the tone and determine the outcome. The time to lodge your complaint about treatment, fairness, professionalism, is not with the arresting officer at the scene. Deal with it through the proper channels when the person you're talking to is sitting calmly in an office.

There is no manner it's viable to do away with guns from the civilians, even if there was once a way, the criminals would nonetheless get guns. And the police are not able to support, it takes about 2-5 minutes for them to arrive relying on the place you reside, numerous **** could happen in 2-5 minutes. I will take a Glock, load it and put it on the desk in entrance of me, take a seat there ceaselessly and It is not going to kill me, I won't die except some asshole picks up the gun and shoots me with it. It can be the peoples fault for capturing other humans, not the weapons, these guys are mentally unwell and they will do anything to kill other people in the event that they need to kill them. And how would you take away the weapons? Ship in the police officers or the military? That's suicide.

How can most of the rest of the population live with themselves, sleep at night or have any self respect? Your basically right, except for the number of dirty cops, but why worry about them. The cops are not the ones who shoot you, beat you over the head and rob you. You, your friends and nieghbours break the law every day. But youv'e always got a good reason, right? As for perjury.why do you and your friends vote in politicians who then pass laws to protect the criminals and ultimately let them go to prey on you? A cop is sworn to protect society and when he or she sees someone bad in a jam then a few words that sees him off the streets on the stand is real easy to say.If you got a law that lets a murderer walk it's a bad law. You break laws that you don't agree with to get home faster, don't you think protecting society is a better reason? Your defence of the poor perp will more likely than not make one of your friends or neighbours very unhappy. Its the lawmakers who make the law. You elect them, the laws are your responsibility.
That's another thing, the most common former occupation of the legislatures of the world is lawyer. A friend of mine says that the only lawyer who would run for office is one that failed as a lawyer. No successful lawyer would take the cut in pay to be a Senator.

For all the cop haters...
Imagine if for 1 month, every federal, state and local PEACE officer vanished from the U.S......
After the inital euphoria wore off, who would protect you from the people that decided they wanted to have sex with you, even if you did not want to.
Who would you call when your husband/boyfriend/live-in deadbeat decided to use for a punching bag.
Who would save your children when a gun-toting madman takes a bunch of high school girls hostage (like just happened again in Colorado) and decides to start executing them.
My first year as a cop I made $24,000 a year, thats less than $13 an hour. For that I was bit, spit upon, assaulted and 2 weeks before my wedding, had a Hepatitus C infected wife beater bleed on me. I gladly put his *** in jail just to watch the woman whose jaw he broke refuse to testify against him.
Stop complaining, we keep you safe. This is a nation of laws, if you want to live in a country w/o laws where you can do whatever you like try someplace like Sudan or Afghanistan !

I guess just blanketing all police with this slander is okay for you? You, like many of the other idiots out there feel a sense of anonimity to contract diarhea on the keyboard. You add the links to back up what you believe, but there is no valid counterpoint in anything you write. It's biased.
There are bad police officers. Just like there are bad store clerks, bad pizza delivery man, etc. But there are more good police officers. Just like there are good store clerks, etc.
I bet you sleep very well every night. It's because there is a police officer out there protecting you and your right to write this garbage.

I get so sick and tired of people putting down the "police." There is corruption everywhere...not just in law enforcement. I'd like to see some of you put on the uniform and a badge and go out in the streets and face crime head on . Put your "life on the line" everyday and see what it's like. Put up with the dope dealers, rapists, child molesters, murderers...the scum of the earth. It's easy to sit there and be critical when you have no idea what some of these officers face everyday.

I'm a police Officer and I would like to know what laws you think I violated?
You stereotype every Police Officer as being corrupt. How would you like it if I said every attorney is sleazy, for the criminals, and lies.
You need to wake up and realize the real world. Every profession has corrupt people in it as every race or ethnic group.
It sounds like you had a bad experience with a Police Officer or department. Don't let a bad experience make you judge everyone
You sound liberal, I thought liberals don't stereotype and judge all people?.

You need to learn how to trust. There are hypocrites everywhere in everything we do, but badmouthing a specific workforce is pathetic. I respect police because they have a difficult and dangerous job. Sure not everyday is life threatening for them, but there are times when I'm glad someone has the balls to do what they do. There is so much going on in the world that is not broadcast (and it is a good thing too) you should respect those who do lay their lives on the line for you and the rest of the country...... and to those who do lie, steal, and disrespect the Bible they as a person should be judged and not the workforce as a whole.
